We had lunch specials and were not disappointed. Seating is a little crowded, but the food was served promptly and was reasonably priced. We would return.

Hadn't eaten here for several years, since last time we ate all our vegetables seemed to come straight out of a can, and I can't get my wife to go back. Have been noticing quite a few cars there as time has gone on, though and since I can't get my wife to try it again, I went for lunch.... More

We were in Arlington for a teaching workshop and wanted to eat at a local restaurant. THis one did not disappoint! Have not been here in awhile and really enjoyed the food, service and variety. Plenty of food to share. I had the veggie special and had enough to take home. You can choose from 3 or 4/5 veggies. I... More

We visited Vinegar Jim's for the second time in a year and have found it both times to be well above average. Both times there were at least 8 people. We had reservations and were promptly seated and drink orders taken. Minutes later drinks arrived and appetizer orders were taken. A couple of minutes before the appetizers arrived entree orders... Visited on Saturday, April 19, 2014. We have probably eaten at this restaurant 10 times in the last 18 months (when we moved to the area and discovered it). It is always wonderful. Service is always at least "good" and most of the time "excellent". We love the fried dill pickle slices so always start with those. We also had... More

We decided to drive to Arlington to try Vinegar Jims tonight. It was not worth the drive. Our server brought our drinks immediately..after that we did not see her again. After 10 minutes, we decided to leave. Prices are above average for the area, which we knew. ..but had always been worth it. We also knew the owners changed a... More

My husband and I went to Vinegar Jim's last night since we hadn't been in months. It took a very long time in between placing our drink order (tea) and the server to come back to take our order. I ordered a cup of gumbo and the Shrimp n Maters with a salad. The $4 cup of gumbo came out... More

We've been wanting to go to Vinegar Jim's for awhile now, and decided to drive up to Arlington tonight. It wasn't as crowded as it looked to be from the parking lot. We were seated promptly, and the hostess got us our drinks. It would be another five minutes before our server came to our table, despite her only having... More
