Nice folks. Nice food, overall nice experience.

We love to take folks visiting us from out of town to Vinegar Jim's. The service is good, the menu is covering most everything you'd expect. The pricing is a bit higher on some items than I'd expect based off of the nature of the restaurant- It's settled in a beautiful historic building. The... read more

The service was a sad joke. Took 45 minutes to get our food. When the food, ( catfish ) arrived,it was raw in the middle. I thought this place was turning around for the better. I hope your experience is better than ours. We will never go back.

It was only fair. Staff was friendly but food was not all that. Guess I was expecting more home cooking style and it was mostly what you would get at a cafeteria. Nice rustic setting however.

Food was good but not spectacular. Service not what I had hoped. Don't go in at 1:40, 20 min before they close for afternoon. They are already working on closing up and very slow.

The new owner of Vinegar Jim's is doing it right! The service and food we got there last weekend was excellent!!! The steak was delicious, as was the fried green tomatoes and the rolls.... Ah,the rolls! We had stopped going to this restaurant because it had sank so low. It's very good to see Vinegar Jim's doing so well again.... More

Took the family of 4 to eat one night after school and got seated right away with no waiting. The restaurant is very interesting with old wooden floors and vintage table and chairs. The drinks were served in mason jars just like my great grandparents did. The server was very friendly and knew the daily specials without looking them up.... More

The restaurant by itself is interesting. Set in the middle of the small town of Arlington, it is a log cabin motif. The large front porch is a pleasant place to sit while waiting for a table. The food is good. On separate visits, I've had steak one time and the other chicken. Both were nothing exceptional, but not bad... More

Took my out of town family here for dinner. Everyone had something different & everyone loved their meals! Veggies & fried pies are DE-LISH!! Love the thin batter on the fried green tomatoes & chicken fingers. Also, their filet with bleu cheese is fantastic!

We love finding local places and this place was a great find! Very cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. They bring you fresh bread before your meal and it is amazing. We have ordered steaks several times and they are always cooked the way we requested and full of season...no steak sauce needed here! They have a great selection... More

If you like places that are cozy and old-fashioned, you will like this place. The food, especially steaks and the home cooked vegetables are superb. I enjoy their hamburgers, sandwiches, as well as fried pickles and they have home made desserts like fried pies that are something you don't find at many other restaurants. Just go early if you go...
