Went to RJ's based on a recommendation of a friend. Waitress was great. I had the fried grouper and it was very good. The sides were more like cafeteria quality items. Green beans tasted like cheap canned green beans, and the mash potatoes were not real/fresh potatoes. Gravy over the potatoes tasted like it came out of a package too.... More

My husband and I just relocated to Knoxville. After a long day of cleaning our new home in preparation for delivery of our household goods, we wanted to get a quick dinner. We were looking for something casual and comfortable. This place was perfect! We loved the homey atmosphere. We enjoyed delicious fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. My husband... More

Ty did a great job serving up tender ribeye steak and the best sweet potato with their special topping. The coffee tasted like the aroma of fresh-brewed premium coffee. They keep the music and background noise at a reasonably low level. The bar is separate from the main dining area. The prices are commensurate with other area restaurants in this... More

In addition to good food, we like to eat at RJ's because you can carry on a conversation without yelling. Food is good and service is usually fast. And there is much to choose from. We have eaten there time after time and have never been really disappointed. They have good margaritas! And a few fantastic desserts if you have... More

Good food for reasonable prices. The salads that come with the dinners are the best! And their baked potatoes are yummy. This place is able to satisfy me and my husband. We "snowbird" in TN and we go to RJ's at least once a month for dinner.

My mom and I went to RJ's for lunch Sunday. I ordered the grilled salmon and was just expecting it to be okay but it was excellent. It had a great lemony taste! It was grilled perfectly, very flaky and moist inside. Mom had the sirloin tips and wanted them medium, they were a little more done than that but... More

We were taking friends to the Knoxville Airport and we were looking for a place to eat. We found this restaurant by mistake and it was really good. Better than any of the junky fast food places on the road there.

One of the last restaurants that do most everything from scratch. Homemade rolls, homemade dressings, hand breaded chicken tenders, etc. The prime rib is delicious and by far, the best in the area. Service was outstanding! Will definitely be going back soon!!

Love the salads, rolls and fried green tomatoes. I took out-of-town friends there recently. They were amazed with the fried pickles and the prime rib.
