Good country food priced like it's Gourmet.

This is a quaint little country place with all the South Carolina favorites. All the food is well prepared and tasty. However it's completely overpriced. I go to place's like this throughout the state. Most have comparable food and all of them cost half of what this place charges. Good... read more

If your driving through the area, a great place to eat. Local vibe and great old school atmosphere. The food is what you would expect and good. Go for anything local and seafood. Great place to stop of you are going to the birds of prey museum which is well worth the trip.

We almost always go here on our Charleston trips for the first lunch of the trip: fried local shrimp. They have a very light coating and are delicious!

Seewee is a small unique restaurant located on US 17 North of Mount Pleasant SC. It has very good country cooking with fresh local seafood. Today we decide to take a run up and have lunch. I had the grilled flounder filets with collards, fried green tomatoes and butter beans and Amy had the fried chicken breast with fried green... More

This little spot out on highway 17 is a must if you are in the area. Wonderful old ambiance and the fresh choices available make it hard to decide. We had the grouper with shrimp and it was to die for. Service over the top. Family owned - wonderful people. A highlight of our visit to Charleston.

Several people told us to eat at the Seewee restaurant after we visited the Raptor Center nearby and we found their recommendation to be right on! This fairly good sized place (there is an inside and a covered outside seating area) looks smaller and quaint from the outside and if you are not looking for it, you could buzz right... More

We stopped at this dump of a restaurant because a friend had recommended it and we were so glad. If you were to drive by you would never stop unless you know how outstanding the food is. The She Crab soup is the best ever, my husband got a vegetarian plate and loved all the southern cooked vegetables. The building... More

We were travelling south on Hwy 17 from Myrtle Beach to Charleston, SC. There is a little restaurant on the south side of Hwy 17. It's in Seewee, just north of Charleston. If you did not know it was a dining treasure of low country cuisine, you would keep on driving. The she crab soup is thick with crab and... More

We were tired and hungry after trip to Bulls island. The restaurant was recommended to us. It is set in an old general store setting with a rustic interior. The food was incredible. The special of the night was blackened stuffed flounder. It was the best we ever had. Friendly people, wonderful food, we will definitely eat there again.
