We stopped at this dump of a restaurant because a friend had recommended it and we were so glad. If you were to drive by you would never stop unless you know how outstanding the food is. The She Crab soup is the best ever, my husband got a vegetarian plate and loved all the southern cooked vegetables. The building... More

We were travelling south on Hwy 17 from Myrtle Beach to Charleston, SC. There is a little restaurant on the south side of Hwy 17. It's in Seewee, just north of Charleston. If you did not know it was a dining treasure of low country cuisine, you would keep on driving. The she crab soup is thick with crab and... More

We were tired and hungry after trip to Bulls island. The restaurant was recommended to us. It is set in an old general store setting with a rustic interior. The food was incredible. The special of the night was blackened stuffed flounder. It was the best we ever had. Friendly people, wonderful food, we will definitely eat there again.

The restaurant itself is conveniently located off of a major roadway and two terrific preserves (Center for Birds of Prey and the Red wolf preserve). The building is rustic but full of history, the staff friendly and efficient. We were referred to this restaurant by a staff at the Center for Birds of Prey as an "authentic, fun, family" experience.... More

A family favorite. We always stop in on our way to Beaufort, SC. Crab dip app is always a good choice and of course, fried shrimp basket is fantastic.

Our son suggested this restaurant. And although it is a hole in the wall local joint they serve the best seafood ever! Huge portions too. We actually shared the fried seafood platter. The She Crab Soup is awesome. About a 40min drive from Charleston, but so worth it.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. I don't deviate from fried shrimp (well, I did try the shrimp and grits once) because I love fried shrimp and this is the best I have ever eaten. The staff are friendly and efficient. The decor is charming as one gets the feel of an old... More

Great Lowcountry food in a an extremely casual and comfortable restaurant with a local flair and feel. The seafood is tremendous. I've had the fried shrimp and oysters several times, and they are always good, but recently tried pan seared grouper topped w garlic shrimp and it was quite good. The fried green tomato appetizer is fantastic. All of the... More

Absolutely delicious food, friendly atmosphere. Will be making the trip back soon to visit! Granted only a 15 minute drive but the local shrimp was delicious and perfectly cooked. Also the hushpuppies were amazing!
