If you want great seafood in the Charleston area, don't go into Charleston! Head out on Highway 17 North and stop at the Seewee Restaurant. The atmosphere is rustic, the servers friendly and efficient, the beer is cold and the food is second to none. I had the fried shrimp dinner and my husband gobbled up the shrimp and grits.... More

The seafood is fresh and the "see wee" style of cooking it is wonderful. The sides are southern comfort food. The cakes, pies, and cobblers are all scratch-made. The staff is very friendly and the service was fast. Don't judge the food or the service by the building. We will definitely be frequenting this establishment on our trips to Charleston!

Had lunch recently. Had a dog with us so we sat outside. Server was very good. Had an Oyster Po Boy and fries. Others had Shrimp Po Boy, Grouper bites and Oyster basket. Everyone enjoyed the meal and tea was nice and sweet. Right off of 17 so it is easy to find and very friendly!

Recommended by the car rental agent at the airport, and it did not disappoint. If you are looking for posh interior and white tableclothes - go elsewhere. But if you want outstanding seafood in a local setting - don't miss this place. The softshell crab was outstanding and the service was excellent. We will be sure and make the trip... More

Best seafood I had in all of S. Carolina. Not to mention the fried okra.......to die for! GREAT prices, relatively fast service. If food is your thing, look no further. To those that criticized the interior...the inside is fine, it is clean. Is it the best atmosphere? No. But I'd rather have great food at great prices then be charged... More

Every time we eat here, we are too full to ordering if their homemade cakes (think 6 layer caramel) or cobblers or pies . Their seafood is always fresh and delicious. The vegetable sides are Southern comfort food and delicious. This establishment is out in the middle if nowhere so it's like an oasis of yummy dishes. Worth the trip.... More

Based on the all the good reviews that I read online, I had to try their Shecrab soup (had never even heard of this soup until I started researching for our trip to SC). We stopped on our way back from Myrtle Beach (going back to Seabrook Island) for a late lunch, around 2:30, and we were in and out... More

I would never come back to this restaurant again. Me and my family drove from summervillie to come to seewee because of all the great things I heard about the food. When I got there I waited for about few minutes before I was seated and they were completely emptyed I was given cold hush puppies... my sweet tea was... More
