A family favorite. We always stop in on our way to Beaufort, SC. Crab dip app is always a good choice and of course, fried shrimp basket is fantastic.

Our son suggested this restaurant. And although it is a hole in the wall local joint they serve the best seafood ever! Huge portions too. We actually shared the fried seafood platter. The She Crab Soup is awesome. About a 40min drive from Charleston, but so worth it.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. I don't deviate from fried shrimp (well, I did try the shrimp and grits once) because I love fried shrimp and this is the best I have ever eaten. The staff are friendly and efficient. The decor is charming as one gets the feel of an old... More

Great Lowcountry food in a an extremely casual and comfortable restaurant with a local flair and feel. The seafood is tremendous. I've had the fried shrimp and oysters several times, and they are always good, but recently tried pan seared grouper topped w garlic shrimp and it was quite good. The fried green tomato appetizer is fantastic. All of the... More

Absolutely delicious food, friendly atmosphere. Will be making the trip back soon to visit! Granted only a 15 minute drive but the local shrimp was delicious and perfectly cooked. Also the hushpuppies were amazing!

Charming atmosphere. The best Shrimp and grits! The staff is very friendly and fresh seafood selections abound. Traditional southern fare and daily specials make this one of my favorite places to take new visitors.

Went there for lunch with 3 kids and wife. The sides are very good. The fried food was outstanding, but the other dishes were good, but nothing to write home about. I'd go back but only for fried dishes, and it'll probably be a while. Just an average good meal. Good for people that don't live in the South or... More

Local charm with old time goodness cooked up and served in a place that brings you back home to a setting in a grocery stores/general stores of the 40's. I had the fried green tomato po-boy add oysters with a side of collards. They have it all from your choice of white rice or red rice, butter beans or collard... More

I saw this place on the way up from Mount Pleasant to Myrtle Beach and thought, "What a dive; there's no way I'm eating there." It's located by itself (no shopping centers, restaurants, or gas stations around, unless you want to call the Tractor Supply Center across Hwy 17 a must-stop), and at first look appears to have been closed... If you look at this place standing alone on the west side of Hwy 17 you might pass but you would make a BIG mistake. This eatery reminds me of the country store in times during the 50's . Fresh seafood is the fare here we ate here many times during our one week stay in the Charleston area. Of... More
