I eat at The Galley about once a week. It's usually the restaurant of last resort if I can't think of anywhere else to go. It's clean, convenient, and very, very average. However, the more I eat at The Galley, the better Arby's, at Love's Truck Stop, appears as a viable option. It too is clean, convenient, and very, very... More

Always great food, great friends and wonderful atmosphere. Located at the marina on Lake Hartwell. You will meet many new friends who love the lake and great food. One of the best menus in town. Order from the grill or kitchen. I love the crab legs and grilled salmon. Reasonable prices and great service always.

I've eaten at The Galley on five occasions, and I become less impressed with each visit. We made reservations but still had to wait fifteen minutes. That wouldn't be so bad if the hostesses communicated a little better as we were waiting. Our server was attentive until at the end when he didn't seem to want to bring the check.... More

Just the location makes it more special than others. Has a bar downstairs and an Asian restaurant across the street that's much better.

We ate at The Galley for a birthday of a family member. There were 15 of us. We had 2 servers assigned to our table, one male and one female. Our male server seemed very disinterested throughout our entire meal. He was not attentive at all. We had to track him down anytime we had a need. Our female server... More

I never leave reviews but this restaurant deserves one. Seated for 15 minutes before being acknowledged. Ridiculous. Just before we made the decision to leave a waitress came to our table. She never made us feel welcomed either. Like we were outcast. Was weird to say the least. Salmon was burned and she didn't care. I've never been so disappointed.... More

They were really busy that night, but we made reservations for 6 p.m. for a party of 7, arrived at 6 p.m. and were seated by 6:13 p.m. An added bonus is the view of Hartwell Lake and the boats docked at the marina. The variety and quality of the small plates appealed to our group. The grilled salmon was... More

Wonderful Margarits, Excellent food, Great atmosphere!!! Some of the best Filet mignon I've ever had. The asparagus was fresh, and cooked perfectly. The service was ok. we had to keep asking for silverware, and drink refills. When you bring our food, and we have to wait, and ask three people for silverware before it's finally brought to us, it takes... More

Ate early so we got a window table overlooking the lake and marina. Very picturesque. Good service, good ambience, good food, everything was excellent. Had the blackened shrimp and grits, wife and stuffed shrimp, and we shared a fresh made hot apple pie with ice cream. Friends had the shrimp and trout. All were cooked to perfection. Will be back.

I have eaten at the Galley many times. It is our go to favorite restaurant in our area. Love that we can go there by boat also. We have watched a few gorgeous sunsets there while dining. Great service and food is consistently good. Love the prime rib. Always happy when we dine there.
