What's Cookin' Downtown is a delightful experience. From looking at the cooler displays to ordering your food and consuming it, one is right into "What is this dish called?" "Well, how about this one?" "Does that fruit salad have mayonnaise in it or a substitute?" Then sitting down and enjoying a meal such as shepherd's pie and a dab of... More

If your in a hurry, this is a great place to pick up a meal. Many choices are in the cooler, including fabulous desserts. David does an excellent job catering meals as well. One of my favs!

There is very limited seating, but the food is very good and reasonably priced. The breakfast is quite good, usually served with a fresh fruit, and I highly recommend the gourmet grits! They also sell a nice selection of "take and bake" foods and salads that are very fresh and good.

I go to What's cooking to get casseroles often . Some are for us , others for a sick person .Always keep one in the freezer . My favorites are Johnny Brazilian and Shepherds pie . They come in small for 2 people and large for 4 .Make a salad and you have a comfort food meal . Voila !

It was awesome to be able to get What's Cooking's excellent food, whether on a whim or a planned occasion. Very disappointing the last couple of times we recently bought our two favorite items: Chicken Enchiladas and Coconut Cream Pie. WC's chicken enchiladas used to be the best we've ever eaten; now it's not even on our list anymore, I'll... More

It was cold and raining and after encountering a negative response in the New Moon Cafe, we stumbled into What's cookin' downtown. We had the tastiest beef chilli ever! And at a great price - simple surroundings (two tables) and great service. Takeaway business was extremely busy. Recommend highly.

I have tried almost everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. Small area to eat in, but carry out is their forte. Salads are delish, too. And pick up a pint of their pimento cheese or chicken salad,too.......

If you are strolling the quaint downtown streets of Aiken, "What's Cookin" is a decent choice for a lunch date. Enjoy dining at one of the outdoor tables or take out. The desserts are huge and decadent! The chocolate cake was a house favorite! The curry chicken salad sandwich was serviceable. The Club sandwich was a winner! The bread was... More

I have tried several things on the menu from their salads to their casseroles to sandwichs to their decadent deserts. The Chicken Enchiladas is the best on the planet!!
