Outstanding Desserts - cakes and pies

One of the best places to go to satisfy your sweet tooth. The cakes and pies are absolutely delicious; the prices are very reasonable as well. A place we will continue to visit on a regular basis.

Aiken is a great small city with a delightful downtown (even though it was a rain day). We hit a nasty downpour just as we were outside of this cafe so we ducked in for lunch. What a great find. Excellent sandwiches and salads. The Reuben was excellent and I had a sliced tomato salad as a side. Great service.... More

I've had club sandwiches from all around Aiken and this one is in the top 3! It's fabulous! Their cakes are delicious and you have to try the lemonade! The eat in food is great, but I was VERY disappointed with the made to go casseroles and dinners. I bought a shepherd's pie casserole one time. $28! And it was... More

Hey there! Glad you're enjoying the lunches! Sorry you weren't as satisfied with the casseroles, but just to let you know, our large casseroles are priced at $20.75. A club sandwich and a casserole together would equal about $28. Just thought I'd clear that up a bit. Thanks for the objective review! We love our customers' input. More

We stopped by and I guess they weren't officially open yet in the restaurant part but they did a fantastic job! Two of us got the chicken salad and the other party got a club and it was all really tasty and good food. One got pasta salad and it was fresh and homemade. We went back and got more... More

A store clerk at Plum Pudding recommended this place to us. She recommended the club sandwich, so we split one. They brought it out as 2 baskets with 2 sides. We ordered the fruit salad side, which was ambrosia. Everything was good.

I really love the pasta salad and mini casseroles. Tasty, filling food! And I love to bring my Grandmother here who can't get enough of the Shepherd's Pie and the Reuben. Can't wait to dine in the new dig!

This was excellent food. They had sooo many choices. I was full for the entire day. I suggest this place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.

Wow, thanks! You mentioned how wide our food selection is, well great news: we are expanding the lunch and breakfast menu even more! Once we are done with the expansion, and have the new kitchen functioning, we will be adding new menu items all the time! Be sure to come and see for yourself! More

Can't go wrong at What's Cookin. They have the most delicious desserts in the world. You can buy a slice or a whole cake or pie. Try their chicken salad and fruit salad. What a wonderful treat they are!

Stopped in for Breakfast and was confused apparently this is primarily a take-out place, lots of coolers with prepared food. Had to search for a menu. However the food was well cooked and very good quality thick bacon, creamy grits and moist scrambled eggs. Overall it is not really a dine in restaurant but the food may well be all... More

Hi there! I'm glad you enjoyed your breakfast with us, even through we have limited seating for the time being. We understand that our size gives us limited dine-in options, but we will be expanding our building to up our capacity. So if you stop in again after mid-September, there will definitely be seats available, and we would love to... More
