Unpretentious Perfection

In three days, I enjoyed two dinners and a lunch while a guest at the hotel for business, and every meal was terrific. The filet was prepared perfectly, and I customized my order with a slaw made of brussels sprouts and peanuts that was out of this world. The next night it was a seafood special... read more

Visited for day before Christmas dinner for the menu and the ambience but found the restaurant, at least our table, was FAR removed from all the hoopla for which we came. Perfect for "get away from it all" couples but disappointing for us. Food prices were EXPENSIVE and not too tasty.

We were there for their Valentines Day dinner. It was an amazing evening. Food was exquisite. Service was amazing. The Wilcox never disappoints!

We went here for my husbands aunts wedding. It was so nice and the food was amazing. The wedding was beautiful because of the venu they put on a truly elegant affair. I highly recommend this beautiful old home in Aiken.

A stop at the Willcox restaurant is a must whenever I'm in Aiken. The atmosphere is elegant, as though you are dining in an old mansion, but still manages to be bright and comfortable. We stopped for lunch, and I love the mussels, so I haven't tried too many other menu selections.

Stepping into the Willcox brings you back a few decades and the fireplaces on either side of the main room keeps it warm and cozy. The area is well appointed and intimate without being crowded. There is usually a pianist in the corner to add to the ambiance. The waitstaff are attentive but not pushy and are very professional. The... More

When it was open it was nothing special. Overrated. Limited menu. Serving staff was nice. Wine list was good. Hard to say more due to the fact that it was a holiday weekend.

Really enjoyed visiting the historic Wilcox Hotel for Sunday brunch and for Saturday night drinks (I stayed at another accommodation). My corn cakes for brunch were excellent. Had the bacon as a side and it was the best I've ever had. The staff was very friendly and service great. Atmosphere wonderful. Hotel is absolutely beautiful; equestrian art abounds. Met friends... Lovely Inn with an exceptional restaurant. Walking into the main lobby sets the tone for a southern experience. The smell of the fire in the fireplaces, piano music from across the room, lively conversation and smiling people all around. The buffet was traditional food and delicious. Roasted turkey and roasted stuffed pork loin with dressing and cranberry sauce. Two very... More

I didn't know what to expect on an overnight stay in Aiken, but finding this restaurant was a real surprise. The 3 of us had no booking, but we got a good table, excellent service and food. There was a lovely atmosphere in the dimmed lights of the dining room, and for the quality, the prices were very reasonable. Highly... More
