food was cold. Last time I was there we were served on paper plates so this was more professional. Food okay, nothing special. I was with a group both visits so maybe they have trouble serving many people at once.

This review is from a TripAdvisor level 4 member who has 3500 TripAdvisor points and therefore an experienced diner, supposedly. Our restaurant has six tables, two waiters on the floor at all times and the Chef (owner) visits each table with 3 to 5 minutes of service. So at least two staff ask guest about their food within minutes of... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at General Elliott Inn for our 10th anniversary and I said to him after we left "I believe it was our best anniversary dinner we have ever had". Steve and Kay were the most gracious hosts and made us feel right at home. The country setting and their home is very... More

The General Elliott is pure Aiken! Located within the idyllic setting of polo country, it oozes charm, great food, informal conversation, and comfortable feel at home atmosphere. Actually it is home to the gracious owners Steve and Kay who are unobtrusive but busy in the kitchen or bar doing what they do best! On a recent visit we enjoyed my... More

My baby sister and I had the privilege of hosting our Mother for dinner, and wanted to do something special. We found the General Elliott Inn by searching the web for Aiken's best restaurants. The food was outstanding, the ambiance inviting, homey and comfortable. The quality of the food was only surpassed by the exceptional, personalized service that far exceeds... More

My wife and I have had the pleasure of dining at The General Elliott Inn several times over the past few months - and each time was a wonderful experience! We've dined by ourselves, with guests from out-of-state, with a group of 20 other friends, and enjoyed several General Elliott Holidays Dinners. With each dining experience, the owners, Kay and... The G-Elliott Inn is located in the lush horse country (off the beaten path) of Aiken, SC. Kay and Steve (the owners) could not be more hospitable. Kay does the cooking and Steve works the bar area. Dinners were spectacular...1/2 leg of lamb of dinner with homemade sweet potatoes; and another night I had salmon with hollandaise sauce on it.... More
