BEST kept secret...Off the beaten path.

The G-Elliott Inn is located in the lush horse country (off the beaten path) of Aiken, SC. Kay and Steve (the owners) could not be more hospitable. Kay does the cooking and Steve works the bar area. Dinners were spectacular...1/2 leg of lamb of dinner with homemade sweet potatoes; and another... read more

We always appreciate the reviews of our guests and even more so to know the guest enjoyed their dinners and stay with us, especially on busy times like Master's Week. Thanks so much. More

Fantastic food! Fantastic service! Fantastic setting. Don't let the drive in the country deter you. This is a must try. I recommend having the walleye. Where else can one get walleye this far south?!

I recently returned to aiken sc to stay for a few days before my departure. I stayed and ate at the general elliott. The food is outstanding, always tasty and always on time. The staff are super efficient and kay and steve are amazing hosts. I highly recommend this restaurant to any one looking for a quiet homey place with... More

The menu is limited but usually quite nice. The setting is peaceful and pleasant - out in the countryside. We enjoyed our meal with friends and being able to view some of the preparation was an added treat.

We always appreciate our customer reviews and thanks them for their efforts. We a little confused regarding this review in that the reviewer said our menu was limited. Not know if this review was a first time diner or only saw our "specials" because our menu has 19 entrees and we think that is more than any other privately owned... More

From the moment we walked in the door service and attention to details was the Inn's number one concern. The bar is so charming and friendly. The bartender Steve was so kind to explain all the different wines available and allowed us to taste several before we found one that we liked. We were then seated in their beautiful dining... More

From the moment we arrived at the General Elliott Inn we were greeted and treated royally. The staff was so warm and friendly and the proprietor was wonderful. We were seated just beyond her kitchen and could see her so delicately preparing our meals. And the food was truly just amazing. Everything fresh and absolutely delicious. We were there almost... We just left the General Elliot and as usual the food was excellent and the country inn atmosphere is delightful. I read a couple of resent reviews and was not sure they were at the same place. I have been taking friends to the Inn for about 4 years now dining there about 4 or 5 times a year. The... More

Christmas dinner was wonderful! It was like eating with the family, but the food was even better than Mom's. The prices more than make up for the drive (which is a lovely one I must add). I suggest you try it out. Oh! You have to order ahead and have reservations.

Searching for someplace different not far from home, I eagerly read the reviews of this "fine dining" establishment in Aiken SC. The reviews were all so positive, we decided to give it a try. Its a bit different; in an inn (B&B), open only on the weekends, the menu for those days is posted on the website. Well, I can... More

We always appreciate customer"s reviews as it is helpful in the future operation of our business. However, there it is always troubling when we receive a review and it is the first time we hear of the complaints. Our main dining room has six tables and there are two wait staff in that room at all times. Our staff is... More
