My sister and I were fortunate to be able to have our mother's 90th birthday party in the main house on Rose Hill Estates in early March. The venue reminds of the old South; full of tradition and period decor. The very capable staff exceeded our expectations in every way. We started out in the (former) billiards room -- wood... More

The Shrimp and grits is my favorite meal here and the best shrimp and grits I've ever had! The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting and the staff is very courteous. The owner also knows a lot about the history of the estate. Wonderful experience overall. When I last visited they were adding to the outdoor area. Looks like it... More

I really want to like this place but it needs a tavern menu and not a serious dinner menu. Very cool concept and staff is always friendly but they need to expand their lite fare offerings to make this a go-to place for me.

I'm a little late in my review, but none the less, dinner at The Stables was excellent. The food and service were superb. We were staying at the Rose Hill Estate and only had to walk a short way - another plus! I hope we will have a chance to go back.

Last night was our first dining experience here since moving to Aiken. Outstanding food, from a perfect Caesar salad (NOT ice cold, like so many places, and NOT made 6 hours earlier) thru the fabulous schnitzel (where did they get veal that good?) and the chocolate raspberry cake which tasted of Vienna. The jazz band was a perfect accompaniment. I... More

Where to begin...This was our first time dining here. The building and dining area is beautiful. A nice old world ambience. Took an hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive and it was cold. My dining guest had to send her food back because it was still frozen. She ordered the lobster stuffed ravioli and the ravioli was... More

My girlfriend, my dachshund, and myself had a great dinner here! I was surprised that they let pets dine outside! We had live entertainment and REALLY great service. The owner even came out and visited. The Filet and potatoes are delicious! Great wine selection also!

I had the French onion soup appetizer - just right, not too much cheese, lots of flavor I had Seafood grits for my entrée - didn't even know that I was eating grits - I am not a Southerner. It was delicious and the portion size was just right. My dining companions ordered German menu items as they are German.... More

We visit the restaurant for the first time yesterday to celebrate my husband's bday. The food was very good , but the highligt of the night was an appetizer , "carmelized pork belly" ! Yes, they are a bit pricier then some restaurants but I think highly worth a good night out if your looking for a place for great... More

If you scrolled down this far you are seeing some of the problems people have had with this place. After a good dining experience about year ago, we returned with our son and daughter-in-law to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was as before--very nice. But I found that the menu had been changed about six months earlier and... More
