Unique ambience. ... not the best food for the price

This place is pretty neat. It's an old house that has been converted to a restaurant and bar. The bar I'd very cozy. .. leather couches fireplace etc. . The restaurant is literally the house dining room... If you want a different experience by all means this is the place to do it. I wouldn't go... read more

The Stables offers more than just sustenance! It is a wonderful dining experience. Our evening entertaiinment- a jazz player was excellent. The music was a wonderful addition to the meal without overpowering conversation. We tried a variety of foods from the menu. Everything was delicious. The Sherry Poached Halibut was my favorite, but the Angus Filet was a close second.... More

The food is excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and professional. The knowledge that the restaurant was actually a horse stable just adds to the overall experience of dining at a truly excellent dining experience.

Celtic night at the stables was great. Lots of ballads and if you don't join in you get to buy the musicians a drink ;). The duck and the shrimp and grits were outstanding but don't recommend coffee or dessert. We will go early next time to explore the "Winter Colony".

Experience a complete dining experience at The Stables with extraordinary ambiance, an outstanding menu and friendly service. The relaxed atmosphere in this historic stable converted into restaurant cannot be matched… and the food is delicious! The Stables menu offers something for everyone! From Baked Salmon Wellington, Shrimp and Grits or Lobster Pappardelle to their authentic German offerings such as Wienerschnitzel,... More

This restaurant is typically in the Stables but they had moved to the main house for New Years and were still serving in there. The owner is a lovely woman who enthusiastically shared information about the house which is a Bed and Breakfast (including taking some of our party on a short tour). Now for the food. The menu is... We had the pork chop and the jaeger schnitzel. Both meals were well-prepared and had generous portions. Service was gracious and prompt. It was warm enough to have the windows open, but there is a huge fireplace that is very inviting on a cold day. We can't wait to bring our out-of-town friends here.
