Tapas in the Alley

Went there for my birthday. It was a Sat night, so we went early to sit at the bar. It is somewhat cramped at the tables, so that it was apparent the regulars gravitate to the bar. Fine with me. We ate off the tapas menu, and all four were good, but the shrimp and grits served in a martini... read more

My wife and I found them just before they closed at 8:30 pm (early) following the final round of the Masters. We looked in but saw that we were there only 5 minutes before the note on the door about closing early, and we decided it was too late to try it. But one of the staff came outside and... More

We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant and could not have been happier with our experience! The menu has several small plates to choose from as well as larger entrees. I typically opt for the small plates, my husband and I selected 4 and shared them all. Our dinner was one of the best we have had in a while,... More

Davor's Café on The Alley is quaint restaurant and bar in downtown Aiken. The food was very good with a friendly wait staff and fair variety of selections. They also have an excellent selection of craft beers and a full service bar. I recommend the grilled ahi but if you want it rare (as I always do) make sure to... More

Davor's is always a "must" on my list when I visit Aiken for Whiskey Road Fox Hounds--hunt week. The food is delighful and the ambiance is terrific. Our server took exceptionally good care of us and handled a large number of people with ease. The food is delightful and the chef puts together a delightful blend of tastes and textures... More

The first time I visited this restaurant was in February 2014 on the night of the earthquake. My evening was more than perfect with great food and even better wine! Our evening was so much fun that we had no idea there was an earthquake until the next day on the news. Bring your first date here and you are... More

This was by far the best New year's Eve meal I've had. They offered many different meals from tenderloin, fish, pork and pasta. I ordered the pork osso bucco and it was done perfectly. It came with a demi glaze on top and a parmesan polenta with wilted spinach. The pork shank was delicious and cooked perfectly. The meat came... More

Had brunch here and it is a nice and cozy atmosphere. Got to sit in the window seat which was nice (except a little chilly when the door opens, as it is winter). The waiter was a little abrupt, rather than being warm and inviting. Didn't go out of his way to be welcoming and helpful. The food however was... More

Good food. Small place with limited seating. Good service. Excellent Sunday Brunch. Table setup was cramped. Outside seating was limited. Only place open in that area on Sunday.

Been there a few times, but never wrote a review. Last visit was as good as the others - solid food, good drinks, good service. Great patio area, weather permitting.
