Just moved to Lower Merion so decided to stop-in for a few drinks. Kim was awesome and made a great drink and spent alot of time talking to us to give us a warm welcome to the area and this neighborhood bar. After talking to a few people, it looks like I found the best neighborhood bar in the area... More

McCloskey's is a popular neighborhood restaurant and bar. Most of the people who frequent this establishment are regulars and a lot of people are known by their first names. It reminds me a little bit of the TV show Cheers. It's clean. The staff is friendly and has an okay look to it. It's not fancy, pretty basic northeastern bar... More

We walked in early on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Food was very good, service was fine and it was a very pleasant evening. Very good filet mignon and soft shell crabs (in season).

We went here for a coworker's birthday; the food was good, served quickly despite it being lunchtime, and reasonably priced. The only downside was my Caesar salad which was so drenched in dressing, the Romaine leaves needed wiping off. I do understand that Caesar comes dressed, and have eaten my share of it over the years, but this was a... More

My wife and I took a Saturday morning trip down the Lincoln Highway toward Philadelphia. We ended up stopping in Ardmore for lunch. When we arrived we were told to choose a table, which is always fine with me. The waitress was attentive, and responded to our needs. The tap list was good, but not great. I had the meatball... More

This is my favorite local restaurant, actually - it IS my favorite restaurant! The food is excellent. The service is amazing. The crowd is lively, yet considerate and friendly. I like Paddy, Kim and Sean. Coming here is like visiting old friends. You know what to expect but each time you visit you wonder why it has taken you so... More

We are regulars at this Bar. Phil, Kristen and all the staff make us feel like family. Great entrees and burgers and wide bar selection.

I had been by here many times but never gone in. Since my first visit I have been back several times. The food is tasty, the service is good and it is reasonably priced. What more could you ask for??

Was in town for a funeral and needed a place to find a little sanity in my down time, i happened to walk by McCloskey's and I looked in the window it wasn't the same bar I remember from 20 years ago so I decided to go in. Kim the bartender immediately made me feel at home. And as i... More
