I have probably been to Mikado over 1000 times. It is delicious and always SO FRESH! The tofu miso is the best I ever had and the spicy mexican roll and ardmore rolls are my favorite! Excellent for anyone...couples, friends, or family. Amazing service, too!

We have had sushi at some of the best sushi restaurants in the world but this little gem in Ardmore has the best sushi hands down. Thai the chef is very creative and talented and makes numerous special dishes every time we go. We eat there at least twice a week and my whole family chooses to go to Mikado... More

This restaurant is essentially two in one. You enter through a pretty traditional looking Japanese restaurant, with blond wood and low tables (with wells for legs, thankfully.) Moving into the Thai portion is pretty much like entering a dark tavern in Anytown, USA. It seemed like the same menu must be used for both rooms, and it is varied. I... More

This is a mash-up of Japanese and Thai cuisine, neither of which warrant going to unless you're really at a loss for someplace to eat. The two used to be "separate" restaurants and the food at both was pretty good. Now, the sushi rice is mushy and the pad thai noodles look microwaved (steaming hot and mushy) and are overly... More

The food is not fresh and not enough. The previous owners had better quality, more food and better selections.

Very good sushi, as well as Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is pleasant enough with good service.

So why is Sushi like goat cheese? Answer: When you are serving or ordering either one, everyone thinks you are cool and trendy. "Wow man...goat cheese... good old chevre, man". But try an experiment. Place the best goat cheese next to a good old noble cheddar or emmanthaler or a quarter of Gourmandise and see which cheese disappears faster. Similarly,... More

Typical Asian. place with upscale pretense. Food is average +, sushi are good. Service is lacking interest from waiting staff, but all are friendly. We saw cleaner places. Restaurant needs renovation. If it is raining and kids are hungry and looking to get out of the house, it will be ok place to visit one-two times a month.

We have been to Mikado about 8-10 times in the last year. The sushi varies for each visit from good to so-so. Our kids like the cooked meals. The last 2 visits have put us off completely. The weekend hostess is rude and obnoxious. Even if the sushi was outstanding, I won't spend my money there to be treated poorly... More
