Yum! Gravy on the fries! Eat one of the western Pennsylvania classics. An awesome little café. Busy at times, but quick and reliable service. Locals know this is the place for lunch.

If you like the old fashioned kind of Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches, then this is the place for you. They use real shredded roast beef - not deli slices- and the gravy needs to be classified as it's own food group. YUM!

The Maple Restaurant reminds me of a 60's luncheonette, JFK era. The menu is good solid food with few frills. This place is famous for their unlimited, and delicious, beef gravy. You can have ladled all over your hot roast beef or turkey sandwich. Be sure to ask for a side dish of gravy too. Their mashed potatoes are homemade... More

This place has not changed much since the 70s so walk back in time to the place you mom and dad went on date night. The food is good with large portions, the service is prompt and efficient, and the homemade pie is to die for. They are known for hot roast beef sandwiches. No alcohol, take the kids, and... More

I have eaten here several times with several different items from the menu. I have not had anything bad from here from the service to the food. Some of my recommendations are the Hot Roast Beef or Hot Hamburger with gravy, Rueben and the Vegetable Beef Soup. All VERY GOOD

Some of my best childhood memories were when my mom and i would walk to this restaurant when we lived in Ambridge. We'd go for breakfast and i'd always get the ham steak or french toast. Our family came here for dinners as well...and literally everything on the menu was great. You wouldn't think much from seeing it on the... More

We have visited the Maple twice now. Liked the roast beef, but loved their sandwiches even more. I would definitely recommend. Great value and great grub

My Dad has been eating here for years and suggested we go for the roast beef. Typical Pittsburgh restaurant which is refreshing with all the chains out there to find a true classic Mom & Pop type place with waitresses who have probably been working there for decades. Noticed that almost everyone around us was eating the same thing-hot roast... More

This is a local ma and pa Restaurant. Definitely nothing fancy, but definitely the best hot roast beef you will ever eat!! Very home-like friendly staff. Excellent home fries as well as homemade mashed potatoes. Gravy is awesome and is available for take out as well. You should definitely come here and experience this at least just once, you won't...
