Have eaten there several times for special family gatherings. My wife and I don't go there on our own. In my opinion, it's not worth the price you pay for the quality of the food. You do get veal meatballs and garlic bread as compliments of the chef, but the meal prices reflect this. I've had seafood dishes several times,... More

Dinner at the Allegro has always been our family tradition when we all get together. The food is fabulous and the staff so friendly. They always go out of their way to make your experience a great one.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant after reading the good review of it in the AAA Guidebook. We enjoyed our meal very much. We especially liked the warm bread and the complementary veal meatballs and garlic bread. Our main entrees were very good, and the portions were large.

We had dinner at Allegro at the recommendation of someone who is local. What a nice surprise. The service was lovely and friendly. The restaurant is old world Italian. We had a lovely salad to start, meatballs which were very tasty which the table shared and individual entrees. The Shrimp Scampi was a nice surprise considering there is no ocean... More

At Allegro's they give you free veal balls in a yummy red sauce as an appetizer , they are awesome, you can also order them! The food s very good and it s the most upscale restaurant in Altoona ! A little outdated and prices are a little high for this area, but worth it!

The eggplant, lasagna, chicken parmigiane and Beef Braciole, fresh broccoli, salads, bread and desserts were all wonderful. Service was excellent Desserts we chose were ok. Chocolate ice cream and cheesecake nothing special. The... More

My wife and I went to the Allegro restuarant on a Friday night. We had high expectations of this establishment as we were told that it was the best restaurant in Altoona. Right out of the gate we were placed in a booth where the wall paper had started to peel at the level of where the food would be.... More
