Our party of 4 had a great visit and everyone was happy with his/her meal so I was surprised to read about some of the less-than-positive reviews. I was happy with my grilled chicken, veggies & rice meal along with potato soup. My boyfriend is vegatarian and easily found options he enjoyed. The service and atmosphere were very good. We... More

First, please let me say we ate here a few weeks ago and although the waitress could have been more attentive, our experience left us wanting to come back. On the visit yesterday, I don't want to return to this Outback. The service wasn't awful, but just the fact our waitress asked us if we would like more bread and... More

Years ago we ate here at least once a week and the restaurant was consistently very good. Then ownership changed and the Altoona Outback is very spotty in service and quality. This visit was our first in 2013 (and it's December). They've cut back on portion sizes quite a bit. Salads are extremely small. The service on a Sunday afternoon was... More

I recently visited the Altoona Pa Outback to celebrate my son's birthday. The staff was friendly and I did the call ahead seating which we were seated right away. However I was disappointed with the portion size of the salads and the quality of our steaks. Our steaks were very fatty, and not cooked according to how we ordered them.... More

Going to this Outback is always a joy. The Mgr and waitstaff are top-notch; always eager to please. Can always find a great meal on the menu. Great place to go w/friends and family.

The Food is great. Service is average. We had a large group 10-14 people, and the waitresses seemed to not come to our table as much(maybe because gratuity is added onto our bill)I've been here with just 1-3 people and service has been better.

Both my wife's and my steak were tough. I had a filet and I thought it was impossible for that cut of meat to be tough, but it was. Either they are buying the cheepest meat possible or I was not served what I ordered. My wife ordered the sirloin, very tough.

The food is simply great. Especially the Alice Springs chicken and the pumpernickel bread. Sometimes seating can be a problem on Friday night.

I ordered a lunch special of a half Filet Focaccia Sandwich and a cup of clam chowder my husband ordered a steak. They brought out a fresh baked mini bread loaf that was awesome. My soup was brought out at the same time. I wanted my soup to be served with my half sandwich so I made my best attempt... More

I had the 6 ounce outback steak with rice and veggie medley and it was very tasty and reasonably priced. They need to get some craft beers. They best beer they had was Sam Adams winter lager.
