The courtyard is nice. But that's where the good stuff stops. The waitress came over and I asked for the drink menu and she recommended a cherry mojito or mojito and I agreed and got a cherry mojito. When it came it tasted like cherry syrup with no mojito. So I asked to get it replaced with something else and... More

Our family of four decided to try something & somewhere off the beaten path. This place was just fantastic! Each of us enjoyed our lunch (all meals were really good), thought the waitress (Rachel) was adorable, loved the courtyard (quiet and secluded from the street), and thought the prices were very reasonable (lunch for four was $35)! Even though we... More

Great place, with constantly changing specialty beers on the menu & a good selection of foods (primarily I go for the sandwiches & the stack of onion rings [they have foot tall or 1/2 foot stacks with a three dip accompaniment]). The sandwiches are large and I always take half home- a meal for next day. (However, I do have... More

I'm a regular at this bar close to my hometown, and it's hands down the town's best bar/restaurant. In the day time the food is phenomenal, and at night the bar vibe is laid-back, but always a fun time. The outdoor patio area is unique and cozy. The hummus is the best I've tasted, and the beer selection can't be... More

The beer selection is amazing, and so is the food. I love sitting outside during the summer. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to find a seat because the place is so small and it's always so busy.

I don't know of any other dining location in the fresh air in the Altoona area with a custom menu and a license to sell alcoholic beverages. While al fresco usually means sidewalk dining, these tables and umbrellas are set up in an interior courtyard. [The alluring waitresses spell this word Kourtyard on the backs of their tee shirts.] The... More

The Knickerbocker has the finest craft beer selection in Altoona and great food, something for everyone to enjoy. The gyro is tasty and the outdoor seating is a delight. It's a go-to when we visit Altoona.

My family and I just visited the Knickerbocker for the first time after a visit to the Horseshoe Curve and Railroad Museum. We sat outside, which has a great atmosphere. We were really impressed with the selection of beers, many of which are local and others we hadn't heard of before. Lots of unique choices! The food was really good... More

We visited the Knickerbocker with our two boys while touring the area. Once you find the place and get past the rather iffy-looking exterior, you won't be disappointed in the food selection, quality or prices. If you're a beer lover, they have more options than most large liquor stores. We ordered the nachos to start; even our boys, who generally... More

The atmosphere here @ the Knickerbocker is always full of life, everyone is sitting their talking, laughing, & enjoying themselves. The food what can I say, I never got anything bad. The food is always fresh, hot, & delicious. No matter if it's a salad, hamburger, steak sandwich, & of course their awesome buffalo wings!!! They have many entrees, appetizers,... More
