Good food

This is a local hole in the wall that is located in an older section of town, however we were not concerned for safety. The server was very friendly and helpful when picking our food. We frequent this place much more often now that it is truly non-smoking... including the outdoor patio. Food is good, prices are average, and service is now better than ever. This is one of the few places in town where you can go eat a meal in semi-privacy, not that open, loud, cafeteria style layout that most chain-restaurants now have.... More

We typically go here with our twenty somethings a couple of times a month. It's a local bar with nice young people as staff and patrons. It is quite old, somewhat historic, with a lovely brick courtyard (The Kourtyard) during the summer. The menu is a nice step up from bar food: Salmon Salad includes real salmon, the Cobb Salad... Food was of excellent quality and had a homemade taste; not what you would expect from a bar. Plus, Bob the Bartender was a great conversationalist.

the Knickerbocker was a nice change of pace from your typical franchise restaurants. We had the loaded fish sandwich and a Philly cheesesteak both were very very good. They have an extensive draft beer menu as well as bottled beer.

I arrived at noon with business colleagues, and at 12:20 the waitress finally took our order. She was very rude when we asked questions about the menu. Our food came out 30 minutes later. We didn't get out bill until 1:30. Clearly, customers are of no value here. The waitress communicated that with deplorable service and an attitude that was... More

This place is deceiving from the outside, it looks a little rundown. When we walked inside, we were greeted by a friendly waitress as we weaved our way through the different rooms until we found a table big enough for the 5 of us. Service started out slow, but quickly picked up. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. The... More

Absolutely great selection of scotch & bourbon. These include single malts (Highlands, Islay, Speysides) and blends. Most places around are lucky to have JD, Crown Royal, Beam. They also have various bourbon with some age to them. I also like the Cuban sandwich there.

What a wonderful stop! Thanks to TA, we found this gem, had a V good waiter & enjoyed our afternoon repast. Checked out the history of this location while relaxing & dined on gyro's, fish n chips. Homemade FF & while we didn't sample any beer, they had quite the list!
