Great eats

This is an old house made into a restaurant, it is definitely a place that the locals are fond of. Good food, generous portions, great experience.

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and came here while on the road heading somewhere else. All the reviews on line are very accurate! It looks like a dump from the outside, but on the inside its great! The decorations with the pigs, the overall decor - was great! The food was excellent. The onion soup was warm, not... More

My husband and I drive 45 minutes to get to Grumpys about 10 times each year and it is worth it. Cannot honestly say we ever had a bad experience. Although nothing is as good as their ribs. Smoked to perfection, great rub. We love their food so much we had them cater our wedding. They brought out the smoker... More

We went there for a late lunch and beers after playing golf nearby at Iron Lakes. The building is very non descript and easy to miss if you are not looking for it. It is a classic local joint, dive bar, great food hangout kind of place. Good beer selection and really good bbq. We had a cup of gumbo... More

This was our 3rd visit in a month. ( drove ONE hour) We really liked the pork belly with the slaw. Had it two times and we got plenty. We shared the dish because there was plenty to share. The third time we ordered the pork belly there was about a third the amount of the pork belly on the... More

1st off our navigation took us through these back roads to get here. From the outside does not look fancy or even like a restaurant. We walk in and it old school what you expect when you are in the country. The waitress came over sat us down and took our order. She was friendly and polite. We ordered the... More

I really like BBQ and I like neat/different restaurants. This place fit the bill. Very good food, reasonable prices and friendly service. Being called Grumpy's I would not have been upset with good but grumpy service. :)

Aside from our bad experience with the bartender- the food was very tasty- not the best barbecue I have ever had- but very good non-the-less. This place is definitely worth the trip. The bartender was so very unfriendly though, it really put a sour taste in our mouth- no matter how polite and friendly WE tried to be, she was... More

We eat a lot of BBQ in the South so I consider myself well rounded when it comes to BBQ. When we pulled up to this building, my first instinct was to leave. It looked like a rundown old bar. Peeling paint, dirty walls - nothing that invited me inside. I wish I had listened, but we went in because... More

Having spent the last three years traveling to Austin, TX for work, I've indulged in some awesome Q, to the point of buying my own smoker as I am a now a huge fan. Grumpy's does not disappoint, and it is one of the few places in a wide radius that I can actually get BBQ brisket. Very good, and... More
