We walked into a small, fairly crowded waiting area with no hostess greeting us or taking our name. We looked at each other and walked into the crowded restaurant with again no hostess stand or hostess/staff greeting us or looking to take names. I approached the first server I saw and asked where do we put our name in? She... More

Family and I stopped. Good food, quick stop. Typical sports bar- pretty large menu- bison burger was good I'd recommend it.

I have visited other PJ Whelihans in the area, all are excellent. This one though seems to be in an old house that has never been remodeled and apparently is too small for the area it is in. Upon arrival we were told 20 minutes for our party of 7 so we waited in the cold crowded area near the... More

Got to enjoy this place on a trip out to Allentown. Was told by a local to try it out. I'm glad we did. Beer Specials every night and the food was good bar food. Key word is Bar Food. Enjoy the burgers and fried food. And other tasty treats. Just cause there is stake on the menu, don't get... More

I've been here half a dozen times over the past year and was never disappointed. No gourmet fare here, just very good bar food. Outstanding wings, great burgers and sandwiches. Some happy surprises: good soups (New England clam chowder is really good), delicious crab cakes, tasty spare ribs. Eating at the bar is fun -- lots of TVs with sports... More

I've always been a fan of local bar rooms that served home made food, and regulary frequent some of the Lehigh Valley's best. PJ Whelihan's is a far cry from any of them. While I am not a fan of wings which friends tell me are good, I can say that after many visits, I have not found a single... More

Nice in-between stop from NY/NJ to Hershey Park. Wings are as advertised, nice friendly staff. No issues with younger family members. Nice selection of draft beers. Perfect little stop while traveling.

We took some customers here for a business meeting and it was the perfect location even though it at times was a bit noisy. The crab cake sandwich I had was spot on, and the fries tasty as can be. I saw some good beers on tap, but business hours I was on preventing my enjoying one of them. The... More

Had the chicken sandwich. The chicken patty was a decent size but the role was so large the chicken couldn't even been found without taking several bites into it. Good flavor though. Had the mild sauce. Also the pjs fries are amazing! Seemed like all the other people at the bar were regulars which kind of made my husband and... More
