Wert's cafe is a small diner type restaurant. On my recent trip I had a really delicious, generously sized burger. It was their specialty burger (which changes on a monthly basis) ordered as part of the Monday night burger deal that comes with onion rings and cake. At the heart of the sandwich was a thick and juicy burger patty.... More

We went to this restaurant with friends who had recently moved to this city. The food was very good, large portions & the service was excellent. I'll be honest, I ordered the crabcake sandwich. It was not what I expected for a crabcake, but it had good taste. Get the onion straws, they are better than onion rings!!! I had... More

Not only are the burgers great, but you can get fried vegetables. A true cholesterol orgy! The basket of fried onion rings is not to be missed. This is my favorite place to eat in Allentown, especially on a Monday when the burgers are available for a reduced price.

Went here after hearing raves about their burgers. Glad to see they do make a great burger. Ours were both prepared as ordered with fresh ingredients and had a great taste. Service also could not have been better. The menu also has a very varied selection so most anyone will be able to find something they like. Recommend for a... More

If you're heading north to escape the heat, make a stop at Wert's. Terrific roast beef sandwiches (lean, thin sliced, piled nicely), and if it's summer, go for the strawberry shortcake. Served in a bowl, with a base of vanilla ice cream, then shortcake on top, and lots of strawberrys on and around the shortcake. Must be seen to be... More

FANTASTIC Burgers and great service. Definitely a locals place, and has a nice feel. Pics of the family on the walls. It's not fancy, more of a friendly diner style. Prices are reasonable. I had soup and a wonderful hand made burger and could not finish the meal. The onion rings are a local favorite. I'll be honest and say... More

This is a cool little place with great food. Went with friends who are locals. Got the onion rings which are really onion straws. Little greasy but good tasting. Wasn't impressed with the chicken wings as the breading wouldn't stick. I had the Wert's Burger which was excellent. I love my burgers stuffed. Desserts were huge and great tasting. Couldn't... We always look forward to a welcoming, caring staff whenever we visit Wert's. They seem to be a part of the family that has been operating this restaurant for many, many years. They make you feel like you are a valued client..........and their feelings are sincere. As for the food..............we have had everything from their "famous" onion rings & burgers... More
