Wonderful food!

My parents came to visit and I took them and my gf to this Allentown gem. There is a unique feel with the dated decor and simple service. It works because you can see the owner/chef a few feet away in the midst of his life's work. The food was delicious all around. It would have been 5 stars... read more

My colleagues and I stopped at Henry's Salt of the Sea for dinner. Parking for the restaurant is limited out front but there is a parking lot just up the street. The restaurant has been open since the 40s and has a good mom and pop feel when you enter. We lucked out and were able to get a table... More

Given the high ranking on TA, we were expecting to be blown away. Instead the whole experience was just so-so. It felt like we were back in the 60s with the salad bar and 60+ median age of the clientele. The place was packed so the meal took 30 min to arrive. Everything was OK, but not worth a return... Thanks to the reviews of this restaurant in tripadvisor, I made reservations (highly suggested) for last Thursday night. My wife and I were just passing through town on the way to Newport and had a craving for seafood. It was an excellent choice. Don't be off put by the exterior, go on in and enjoy terrific service and great food.... More

In A Word, EXCELLENT. Have dined many times at Henry's. Was there recently on a Wednesday evening sitting at the top end of the bar. Frank the Bartender makes a Perfect Gray Goose Martini. The Food it top notch, I had the Veal Schnitzel which is amazing. My dining partner had the Fish Special which he said was excellent as... More

I LOVE the steak with lump crab meat. I would highly recommed this restaurant but make sure you book a reservation because they fill up quickly!

This is a reliable, sure-fire hit for everyone. We go for special occasions only because of the price, but that's ok because . . . it's special! Décor is dark wood, like an old-fashioned sailor motif. Salad bar is always fresh and never boring - a rare find. Service and smiles are true perfection. The staff is always tuned in... More

My words to the Chef and his staff when finished: "I don't know where I could go to get It any better" Need I say more.

We have been going to Henry's for many years and have never been disappointed. Don't let the dated decor throw you. The food is always outstanding and priced lower than you pay at most restaurants. You can watch the chef cook themeals and many of the servers have been there forever.

the food was very good and the service was great. I found the restaurant to be a little pricey for how small the restaurant is. We had a group of 8 and when people would go back to the restrooms sometimes my coat would fall off the back of my chair because of the tight quarters.
