We visited the Brew Works to take their tour of the brewing process that they have on a Saturday at noon. We made a reservation. The tour started promply at noon but wasn't very long as their brewing facilities are very small. It was very nice, personal and informative. We sat at the bar and were... read more

We ate there before a hockey game at the nearby arena. We got seated right away but the place quickly got packed with game-goers. I wondered how they handled the crowd but they had plenty of floor staff and our server was attentive. I had the french dip fondue sandwich. It was on a nice roll, had a good amount... More

Stopped in for a meal before checking out a hockey game in the new arena and glad we did. Great selection of beers and food. So many beers sounded good, so I tried the sampler. Excellent way to try 6 craft brews for $10! Food was good and as ordered. Waitress was very polite and helpful. Prices are very reasonable... More

We decided to try the infamous Brew Works before a Phantoms Hockey game and arrived around 4pm. We were seated at a table without any utensils. We were seated at our table and given menus but it was quit some time before the waitress came over to get our drink order. At the time we did tell her we needed... More

My friends and I visited the Allentown Brew Works on Hamilton Street not far from the new PPL Center prior to a Lehigh Valley Phantoms Hockey game. The service was very good, the food was presented nicely and was very tasty. The wine was excellent! They brew their own beer here and serve different varieties if beer is your drink... More

The food wasn't anything special. Not what I expected was looking for better choices. A lot better places to eat. Could really be good if they worked on it.

If you're into craft beer/ local brewers, then give ABW a try. Personally, my favorite IPA and Bourbon Barrel Stoudts exist here. The Hops' O lutely still continues to impress as does the Insidious Bourbon Barrel. Aside from these two favorites, there are so many to choose from! If you stop in on a Friday or Saturday night, you'll get... More

Terrific spot for burgers and beers but they also offer a variety of salads and platters for those in the mood for something other than burgers. Incredible beers that are brewed on the premises makes this place a winner for weekday lunches or dining before or after events at the PPL Center. Caution if you go on a hockey game... More

We love the Brew Works! The Steelgarden Witt is a summer favorite of mine. The atmosphere is great and so is the specials menu. We feel very comfortable there even when we have to go early because we are caring for our grandson who is eight.

The food here is greasy and unimaginative. If you are going to this place to enjoy their fantastic beer (and it is fantastic), just understand that the food is just a filler, not an experience that matches the beer part. Iron Hill and Dogfish Head are much better examples of craft brew pubs offering food that is as good as... More
