Eat Like a Lehigh Valley Local Part 1

Stahley's is literally an Allentown institution. It has been at the same location and owned and operated by the Stahley Family since 1968. There are not too many restaurants and bars anywhere that can make that claim. Their food is basic, mostly pub food not fancy, but very good. There are specials... read more

My family is from Allentown and Bethlehem and so I've been coming to Stahley's since I was a kid. I remember the (not so) good old days when you left from Stahley's stinking like a cigarette. Thankfully, now you can come and enjoy a great meal at very low prices in a comfortable bar setting that's great for families, too... More

On a trip down memory lane for my husband with teenagers we enjoyed a yummy lunch with steamed clams, appetizers platter, salad and pierogies. This is a classic Allentown family pub. Waitstaff friendly. Not fancy but clean and nostalgic

This place has been around forever. The food is typical pub cusine - wings, burgers, nachos. Not great but not bad. The service is excellant, capable and friendly. Bottom line, if you're a local you most likely will know people and enjoy the neighborhood feel.

I was a kid when my father first took me to Stahleys . A place in the cellar!. They grew to 'upstairs.' My wife and I spent many evenings there on 'dates'. Its a true neighborhood bar & restaurant. Our many work lunch/birthday/retirement parties were there. As are others now. Our kids go there. No matter which decade you have... More

We have been going to Stahley's for years and years. The menu is varied and food is decent. Sometimes the wait staff is lacking. This last time, we waited forever for her to take our orders, even though she passed our table numerous times. They had runners bring the food. After all that, the waitress was there quite often. Trying... More

Love calm night on Wednesdays & wing night on Thursdays! The hot crab dip is delish. Great service, Matt is a terrific bartender!

I have been here only a couple of times with relatives over the past 20 years. The place has been a local institution in east Allentown for decades. I believe the nostalgia and cheap prices are the true attractions. I try to avoid going here but the nostalgia pull on my relatives wins out eventually. On our most recent visit... More

Had never been in a restaurant quite like this one before -- a fun blend! Let's call it one-third family restaurant, one-third regulars/dive & one-third sports bar, overlaid with an undeniable 'Allentown tradition' feel (you just know such a place when you're in it). 7 of us, including 4 kids ranging from ages 9 to 15, had dinner there at... This place used to have decent food, however a visit today changed my mind. Ordered an appetizer- crab dip which was extremely salty to a point we were not able to eat it. Ordered a a steak sandwich. The sandwich greatly resembled a philly cheese steak sandwich and themeat had a freezer burn taste. Waitress was rude when we complained... More
