It's often difficult if not impossible to get a seat at a good restaurant at many locations in Lancaster County on a Friday evening between 5 & 7 p.m. but last night at Piero's the patrons were noticeably absent. The Tuscan interior design probably looked great in 1970 but now needs a major update. There was a sign posted about... More

From the outside the restaraunt looks nice. That's where the good stops. Inside it has a cafeteria like atmosphere. The waitress that we had was very poor in both attitude and service. The breadsticks that they bring before the dinner were horribly stale and tasteless. I ordered the dish that was suppose to contain 3 different Italian dishes. When I... More

The Italian food they serve has to be frozen. It is bland and has no flavor. At best, the sandwiches are ok, and probably your best bet to order. I live locally and have eaten here several times over the years. Nothing has changed in the past 10 years. Unfortunately there aren't very many other options in close proximity. Drive... More

Akron PA. is a town that reminds me of Tom Waits singing about Putnam County..."Things were always kind of quiet in Putnam County..." Even though this town is nowhere near Putnam County except in spirit. Anyway, this is one of the few restaurants in Akron here in the quiet heart of Amish Country. It has an odd liquor thing going in... More

If you are unfortunate enough to be traveling in or through this tiny little town, do not stop here for dinner. The service is horrible, the owner doesn't care about the service, and the quality of the food is awful! AND THE PICTURE ON THE TOP OF THIS PAGE IS THE WRONG RESTAURANT!! Doesn't even look like it!! STAY AWAY... More

My husband and I live in the area and Piero's is always our go to restaurant. Much better than most of the restaurants in town; especially better than Applebee's. The wait staff is always polite and attentive, especially to our 3 year old son. The food (especially the pizza) is fantastic and we always have extras to take home. I... More

Some of the food is good, like the pizza and the sandwiches are excellent. But the dinners, pasta and other dishes are just average. The big attraction is the booze. Go for the sandwiche and beer, skip the italian meals.

My co-workers and I dined at Piero's in late August 2012. I ordered the Manicotti dish and it was of decent taste, but VERY salty. A salad, if desired, costs extra. The wait staff was very good. The basket of bread that was served was not warm and was rather bland. On the plus side, the interior was clean and... More

We were very impressed by the food here. THe chicken parm was delicious and the bread you get before the meal is very good to. My boyfriend had the calzone (and the baby one is quite big and would be good for one person even 2) and he also had there meatballs which he said were the best. We ate... More
