This is definitely THE PLACE when visiting the Adamstown/Reading area during the summer for a good old fashioned lunch/dinner/snack/ice cream experience. The restaurant is located next to a stream that provides entertainment for the kids thanks to the ducks. The menu is limited but everything is delicious as well as the ice cream that is made on site. If stopping... More

If your in Adamstown pa area there is no more popular place for ice cream. It's a throwback 1950s style eatery with picnic benches and a nice brook with ducks. The food is not for gluten free warriors but is a fun place for those naughty days.

Boehringers feels like it's been there forever. It was a crowded day when we visited - the day before they were due to close for the season. The atmosphere was fun - ate our cones at the picnic table next to the stream. My son had a burger - nothing special. They had room for a variety of ice cream... More

We frequent Boehringer's when we want to just go somewhere, sit, relax, and enjoy. The fact that they have some of the best ice cream around here just adds to the fun. Food is good and very affordable. They have outdoor seating overlooking a stream and kids and ducks play there together. Sorry it will be closing soon, but we... More

OMG! Just gotta go there! It's that simplel! We couldn't believe how many people this place draws, even on a weeknight, and we quickly became nightly regulars, eating ice cream on a picnic table while the boys fed the ducks in the little river that runs behind the property.

Boehringer's is only open for the summer so you have to get there more than once to eat outside on the picnic tables by the creek. The sloppy dog is not on the menu-just something I always order-ketchup, mustard, onion, cheese, relish, and bbq on a hot dog! Delicious. Their fries are yummy and they have good root beer. For... Every time I come here, I have a wonderful experience. The food is always good and I just love the atmosphere. Takes you back in time. I highly recommend the chocolate butter fudge ice cream and my girlfriend would either recommend the mint chocolate chip or butter brickel.

Out Adamstown way antiquing, we had to stop for their famous ice cream. When my son was small we would go out of our way for this special treat. The butter pecan was as good as I remembered! My friend had the coconut...she is a coconut gourmet...definitely got her seal of approval! It gets really crowded, but they have a... More

We took a detour here based on TripAdvisor recommendations on our way through Lancaster County, and it was definitely worth it! Cheesesteaks for $4 and sodas for $.89? Seemed too good to be true! We were greeted by very friendly staff and our food was made fresh for us in under 5 minutes. It was a brutally hot day but... More
