My husband and I went yesterday for the Octoberfest event. The atmosphere is contagious!! German bands are playing, people are dancing and many folks are lifting their glasses to toast one another. At 3:00 they had the "Pig Run" where they take a roasted pig off the spit and carry it all around the hall before it is taken to... More

Visited with a group of friends. Server and atmosphere were lovely, but the food was average and not really hot enough. We had been there before with a larger group and remember the food being much better. Hoping it was just an off night.

My wife and I always stop in when we're in the area. She's a major fan of the Fat Dog Stout, and I'm just a fan of fresh brewed craft beer. It doesn't hurt that the food is pretty good too.

We were excited to try this place out. Heard alot about it. Decor is very old and dated. Almost felt medieval. Service was slow. Samplers were 4 at a time. Food - was so so. Not impressed.

I ordered a Pumpkin Fest beer to start with and it was like drinking pumpkin pie, so delicious!! I got an 11 oz sirloin for dinner and wished it was a never ending steak! The cut was so tender and juicy with an amazing flavor. Finally, I ordered the Fat Dog layered chocolate cake and it was a perfect end... More

This place was recommended by a local B & B where we stayed on the way back home from a trip exploring civil war sites. Traditional Brautwurst, red cabbage and sauerkraut rocked, dining companion enjoyed the Rachel wrap. The sausage was nicely paired with the 1860 IPA which seemed appropriate. For dessert we split the Fat Dog stout cake which... More

From the minute we walked in, the host was extremely friendly. We got a booth, which we asked for. The waitress was knowledgeable and very personable. The atmosphere was comfortable, historical, and romantic. ...had the sirloin and prime rib - both were cooked perfectly, along w/ fresh veggies. Dessert was fantastic...peanut butter bomb. We went back the next day for... More

Food was really good they go out of their way to accommodate anything you want to make a change too. I must say the NY strip was done to perfection for my taste. reservations are suggested but...
