My husband and I were staying at the Adamstown Inn an opted to go here for our anniversary dinner. I had the steak sandwhich and my husband had the blank angus burger. Both were very good - one of the best burgers we have had in a long time. We both had a pint of beer too. Beer was cheap... More

Great burgers, great service, nice menu choices. Nice atmosphere. We did not want to wait on the long line at the tourist trap down the road near the highway, so we drove down the road to find another place. We were happy to find this nice place. We will eat here on our way back to from York next trip.

What a great place to eat and learn. Ed Stoudt is a beer legend and his brewery tour is worth the visit. It's more of a history lesson than an in depth tour but it is very entertaining. The food at the Black Angus was very good and the beer is even better. If you have time, make sure you... More

Despite what others here say, I don't see Stoudt's as a tourist trap. A lot of tourists stop in...sure. But I have eaten there maybe 6 times now, and have yet to be disappointed. I always enjoy the decor with the beer stuff and old posters. I don't like waiting for a table, so I try to avoid midday on... More

We come to Adamstown often (for antiques), and ALWAYS have at least one Fat Dog! The food is decent (a little pricey, almost always have a burger and onion rings (home made)! If you are a dark beer drinker, choose Fat Dog...smooth, dark, rich, very tasty!

Over all not a total disappointment but not a total amazement. Steak was done properly and tasted nice. While we had bread plates on our table we were never served any bread, even though the table next to us was. Service was average. The value of the meal was not worth what we paid. And the "fresh" seafood bar at... More

Driving from Philly to Central PA, we ventured to Adamstown to try Stoudt's, primarily to try the beer, but was quite delighted with the food too. Special Hoperator IPA was great with the cheese platter. Tried the Weisswurst (sausage made with ground pork and veal) which was served with sauerkraut and red cabbage was absolutely delicious! The staff was very... More

The steaks are really tender and flavorful. Loved the cheese and crab dip. Crowded and a bit noisy. The tables are close together and seating is tight. Price for 2 dinners with appetizer and 4 alcohol free beers was $100 plus tip. I think that is too high for the meal considering what we paid for similar quality in town,... More

I wish this could be a good review. I like the IDEA of Stoudt's but they just don't deliver when it comes to good food. Sadly, it's probably more of a tourist trap than anything. Food is marginal at best and not worth the money. After we reviewed the menu, the waitress came to take our order and at that... More

As a repeat visitor to this establishment, I can attest to the fact that I have never had a bad meal or negative experience here! Stoudt's has fantastic food and although I am not a beer drinker, there's always one or two I can enjoy with my meal. I had a chicken special with roasted peppers, some type of ranch... More
