We visited here twice during our stay in Ashland since it was next door to our motel - a definite convenience if you are staying in the Rodeway Inn. Its a traditional diner with a bar and venue for live music. We ate both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was very delicious eggs americana. It was vey filling and excelent... More

We stopped here for breakfast on our way back to California and sat in the bar. The food was decent and our server was very attentive.

If I'm to comment on the atmosphere, I have to say that it's like many places in Oregon, a little too pretentious. But, frankly, I don't care about that. The food was good. The portions are not too big, just enough, and I thank the waitress for being honest when I asked if the hashbrowns were fresh, I'm tired of... More

We were staying at a nearby hotel, so we decided to eat at the Wild Goose. Had breakfast and dinner there. All in all pretty good, actually better than one would expect from a place that looks more like a converted chain than a dedicated build. All of our meals had that "made here with some thought" feel rather than... More

For a diner type cafe they do have unusual food choices on the menu. Also, offer a few vegetarian and gluten free items. Friendly staff. Food was fine but typical. Don't come here for a gourmet meal. But, if you want good home cooking, this is the place. Friendly server but her uniform needed washing.

After reading mostly good reviews, we decided to stop in for a Sunday dinner. While relatively clean, the atmosphere and appearance could not exceed that of a diner. Large booths with a long bar of fixed stool seats. For the prices on the menu, you would expect something with pizazz-not plastic cups and paper napkins. The entrees my wife and... More

I’m Dal Carver. My wife and I opened the Wild Goose 15 years ago. Thanks for taking the time to post a review of the Goose. I’m sorry your experience wasn’t equal to that of our other guests—as you were kind enough to notice, we get mostly four and five star reviews. I can assure my fellow Trip Advisor aficionados... Title says it all. Wish i would've spent the money downtown but i thought a diner wpud be cheaper. Bathrooms are nasty!

Lovely down home cooking extremely well done. Friendly wait staff and good service. The bar in the back sometimes has live music and is very pleasant

The Wild Goose is the best place to grab a simple breakfast and a good Bloody Mary. It's all about Sunday mornings @ "The Goose". I like to sit on the bar side where they have a great jukebox and awesome patio area. The regular Sunday bartender is awesome. Super Ashland throwback!

I've had two good meals at this place. It's in a diner style place (think coffee shop booths in a dark atmosphere) that doesn't have much ambiance, but the food and service were good both times, and it's a good value, especially compared to most of the more trendy places in downtown Ashland.
