Perfect for Early Birds

We were looking for someplace that was open early and found this cafe. Low key friendly staff. Homemade biscuits are big enough to share. Homestyle cooking, my scramble and home fries were delicious. Extra plus was the classic 60's music they were playing. If you are in Ashland give Wild Goose... read more

This is a very average place. The menu is broad and breakfast reaches well into the afternoon. What we had was pretty good - sandwiches and a spinach and mushroom omelet. All was well prepared perhaps a bit high in price than should be. The clientele had a load of locals and by the pattern of things likely repeat customers... More

We were in Ashland, Oregon for a track meet and decided to have breakfast at the Wild Goose. The french toast must have been day old bread, a little tough. The link sausage was okay, but my hubby's sausage patty was greasy. The eggs were okay and so was the coffee. Would like to find a better place to eat... More

We stopped in for breakfast on the way from Ashland to SF and caught the place as early morning sun was streaming through the windows. It was dirty - the booths, the table tops, the floors - and I would have suggested we leave, but we were hungry and didn't know anywhere else to go. Food was average at best... More

Frozen beef patty burger with bacon, no fries or salad, $10.95. Over priced for very basic food. Most entrees were $18., i.e. for a pork chop. Denny's would be a much better choice, but there isn't one!

Though it may lack a high-end decor, this little restaurant packs a good food punch. The entree items were delicious (steak oscar and Greek Spinach salad). The sauce indicated that the chef knows what they are doing. The garlic mashed potatoes were one-of-a-kind fantastic...creamy and just spiced to suit most anyone. The salad was another gem; fresh spinach greens, dressing,... More

We had a late dinner and it was okay. I had a French Dip sandwich and my husband had the Fish and Chips. The sandwich was pretty good on a soft roll but didn't come with any sides (I asked for some coleslaw but was told that was extra) . The fish was pretty crispy and the tarter sauce was... More

Thanks for dining with and enjoying our live entertainment. You might have even caught me playing piano that night. It sounds like you were happy with your meals but not the pricing--we do our best to keep it reasonable. The two meals you described should have been just over $20. If you were charged more than that, it was an... More

We were driving through and stopped here after a long drive, it was about 10:00 pm and this place was recommended by the hotel we were staying at, I had the Reuben which was excellent and my wife had a burger and fries that were also very good, our waitress was very nice and attentive, the bathrooms were spotless as... It's dark, and it's small, but it makes for a nicer atmosphere tan the too old inside restaurant. Don't ask for a rare burger here, i got a legal response about what they had to do rather than they would do whatever they could.

Delicious food, unique menu items (like one of my favorite breakfast items, the Cajun oysters and eggs) and friendly wonderful service. I have dined there on a regular basis for the past nine years. Some of the staff have become deeply valued friends.
