Great place before a play

This was a great choice before we went to the play. The menu was inspired; the preparation was perfect; the service friendly and helpful. The decor was very nice as well, and in an old hotel. Even the entrees I don't particularly like sounded good. This is a wonderful place.

Very nice meal in pleasant surroundings. They know how to cook fish here! The crab and cheese fondue was to die for.

Popular place, must reserve sev. days in advance. Quite lovely interior setting of a main hotel. Our server, Eric, was the best we've had in months! Food delicious- Fried Green Tomatoes with Corn Aioli, Charcuterie/Cheese plate, grilled eggplant on roasted vegetable-lentil salad. Interesting menu choices. Definitely will return. Prices mod. high but reasonable for setting & quality.

Super-thoughtful staff (hostess, bartender, waitress) made us feel at home during a busy rush. Food and wine were excellent. Waitress and chef met my odd request for a substitute with aplomb. We went back on a second day just for cocktails and received the same warm service.

Discovered this spot for breakfast; then returned for 2 lunches and 2 dinners. Their location is perfect, the restaurant filled with light, and the meals are simply prepared with touches that always please the taste buds. Wait staff are well versed in menu and options; efficient and thoughtful in checking up on every patron (no matter how busy they obviously... More

My wife and I were in Ashland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We were staying at the Ashland Springs Hotel and we decided to go to Lark's on the main floor. We made reservations for 5:00pm the day before because we have tried to eat here before and they didn't have room for us. They sat us at a table... More

We were a party of five ladies and decided to eat here again after a successful lunch while visiting last year. We knew it would be best to book at table so we booked about an hour beforehand and then had fun shopping in Ashland while waiting. The Lark staff were obviously very experienced, well trained and really friendly to... More

Our first reunion dinner for 10 people was booked at Lark's. We wanted somewhere we knew we would have a good, leisurely meal where we could catch up. The restaurant is located in the Ashland Springs Hotel and is a very attractive setting. My husband and I shared an heirloom tomato salad with buratta and the fried chicken. We were... More

Love this place. GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE. I have many special memories here. From being proposed too and my fiancé birthday dinner which he loves. He always gets the fried chicken meal.

We have been going to LARKS for years as a group between 8-10. We know to come early if you want to make a play in a comfortable manner. For the last several years we have had to rush....so we made an effort and told our server the issues of previous years. Well we had to rush again. The largest... More
