BRAVO....bon' apetite

Travelling through we stumbled upon another memorable establishment. Let me start out by saying if you want fast food that's not made with love, un-attentive service, and you have an hour before your showtime then go somewhere else. I was under the impression that guests were arriving and being... read more

Lark's is probably the most consistently good restaurant in downtown Ashland. Executive Chef Damon Jones works hard source food locally and the service is excellent. I like Lark's best for business lunches and I hear it has a terrific happy hour daily.

I have eaten at Larks several times now and have always left completely delighted. I have tried their ribeye steak, the duck confit, Spring Pea hush puppies, fried chicken, Caesar salad, and seafood chowder. I have never been disappointed. Wait staff are very pleasant and helpful. The wine list is extensive and the bar is well stocked. Reservations are wise... More

We stumbled on Larks and had a wonderful dinner. Service was excellent although getting our food was a little slow. Had the fried chicken which was outstanding. My wife who is vegan had a chickpea cake w apple chutney that she loved. They comped us dessert when we told them we were celebrating our anniversary. Overall a great dinner.

Second time we have eaten here and we came back because first time was so good , Not This Time. It's like the Chef was on vacation and let the cooks do dinner. The only things that were good for our dinner was the meat and cheese appetizer plate and the Caesar Salad. Both entree terribly conceived and terribly executed.... More

I was here for lunch with ten friends. I asked if I could order half of a Cobb salad, but the management turned me down. How ridiculous to force someone to order something that knowingly will be too big a serving! Most restaurants will let me order half of a salad. The Cobb salad was not julienned as it should... We had a discount coupon from our hotel and after reading other reviews, we decided to go there. We were not disappointed in our meals (although the portions were quite sizable). We wanted to

We were three ladies on a Monday evening. Ordinarily, I love everything about Larks. I expected only good. When the charcuterie plate ($20) arrived promptly, it contained a cute miniature baguette, nice and fresh. There was a small amt of cheese, a glass of pickled stuff, and this stiff, hard old piece of sliced meatloaf thing that must've been left... More

I was a bit disappointed in this restaurant. After being curious about it for the past few years when I visited Ashland, we finally ate there. The chef is very creative with combinations of ingredients and the food is presented beautifully. The service was good and the dining room is pleasant. Unfortunately, my fish was overcooked and I felt the... More

Larks is a favorite restaurant in Ashland--very pretty, good service, close to the theater festival. I ate there twice on a recent trip. A lunch was outstanding: delicious soup and sandwich. A dinner was not so consistent. The beet salad was great, but the famous fried chicken was disappointing (basically a small boneless chicken breast in an enormous carapace of... More
