The last time we were in Ashland we had a fabulous lunch at Larks so when we brought the family back for OSF I made sure this is where we reserved for dinner. The menu, particularly the entrees, had so many things that sounded delicious that we all had trouble selecting. But I think the execution could have been improved.... More

Stopped in to the restaurant later in the evening. It was still hopping. Food looked good so we sat at the bar. Ordered drinks and some light bites. They had a brussel sprout special that was fantastic. Yea, I know, brussel sprouts. Bacon, tiny filberts and a maple syrup glaze. Roasted. YUM. Also tried the shrimp bisque. Excellent. Nice decor,... Lunchtime was very busy and the 20 minute wait turned into 40 minutes. Bobby, the waiter was very attentive to all of the tables he was assigned to. Can't recall my choice of food but it was not much better than some of the fast food places that exist.

This place has been consistently good since it was named a few years back. Great fish/meat entrees and superb coffee. Service outstanding.

I've eaten at Larks many times over the past few years and always been happy. They brought their pricing a bit more in line with high end Ashland restaurants (though it isn't cheap), and served a quality product in a nice space. However, this year's experience proved less than stellar. A decidedly fishy odor accompanied a few dishes that went... More

We ate here in early August, 2014, after the dinner rush crowd had left for the theater. We each had a beer and we shared a very good Caesar Salad and a heaping bowl of plump and juicy mussels. It was lovely, and the price as less than one would expect. We were warmly greeted, and service as delightful.

We enjoyed a great show at Oregon Shakespeare Festival for a matinee performance. We were very early for any dinner and wanted a Beer-thirty or cocktail stop. It was Saturday afternoon. We failed to gain admittance at 4:30 and were turned away from the front door of Lark's by a rather curt hostess. 5'oclock was barked to us. - we... More

If you find yourself in Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (or for whatever other reason), you might want to consider treating yourself to a fancy dinner at Larks. If you don't have the budget for the entrees which range from $24-$31, at least try their appetizers which range from ($4-$15). We did not have reservations when we went there... More

Dress up a little, enjoy a glass of wine with fresh, locally grown food. We all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
