good casual dining in Ashland

While visiting friends in Medford, we drove down to Ashland to walk in Lithia Park and later found the Greenleaf after it was recommended by a shopkeeper. It was a good place for lunch - pleasant surroundings and very friendly staff. The four of us were all pleased with our lunches.

Being gluten free is a challenge (Celiac disease, not GF by choice) when I eat out. Not at Greenleaf! I had plenty of options and the food is delish and reasonable. I recommend it for a casual dining experience.

We were in Ashland again last weekend and went to Greenleaf ... twice. One reason we're drawn to it is that the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is great and feels healthy, and there is a broad variety that will appeal to different tastes.

Good food. Child friendly. Outdoor seating. Good service. Can be very busy at noon on weekends. Better to arrive at 1 PM. Handy to Plaza and Lythia Park. Parking tough on weekends. Park up the park and walk back to plaza.

We walked in one day and ended up sitting outside next to the river for lunch. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the food was great, one just felt comfortable being there. We ended up going there three times during our five day stay in Ashland.

Greeleaf is a favorite for lunch of dinner. Staff is very friendly and service is fast ( we were going pre-theater) and efficient. My husband and I shared a dinner and they were completely cool with that. Everything we've had at Greenleaf is very tasty. Prices are reasonable too.

I'm saddened when places with good food and ambience like Alex's on the Ashland plaza go out of business but mediocre establishments such as Greenleaf persist. This was our second visit in the past eight years and it hasn't improved. We had Fish & Chips, Primavera Pasta and caesar salad. The prices are good and outdoor seating by the creek... More

There are many overpriced and small portion restaurants in Ashland but this was a welcome surprise. An extensive menu for both semi-vegetarians and carnivores. The staff was courteous and efficient. I had the fish and chips which were delicious and my husband had the deluxe burger which melted in his mouth. (his words)

5 star People are always friendly, staff very efficient, food fresh delicious and made to order! Great place for food allergies or preferences - they are very accommodating. Fresh salads and produce, great fish and chicken, turkey burgers and fantastic specials. Very reasonable prices. Beautiful creek-side dining weather permitting in beautiful downtown Ashland - walking distance to theaters and movies.... More
