Coming from Dallas where we have so many great restaurants, I wasn't prepared to be impressed by an inn's on site restaurant. Our dinner was expertly crafted and presented. Our breakfast also reflected an accomplished chef's hand. Both meals were delicious. I highly recommend The Alchemy.

Amazing range of OR & WA pinot noir from select small producers. Loved first courses and deserts, but mains good too. As usual, service was wonderful for our very large party.

We skipped this restaurant last year on our annual pilgrimage to Ashland--it had just reopened after renovation and was getting mixed reviews. But we ate there this year and it was great. I noticed it is currently top-ranked in Ashland. In fact, over our wonderful dinner we couldn't decide whether this meal at Alchemy was even better than our fantastic... More

They always do an excellent job of providing an ever-changing selection of delicious meals with reasonable portions, expert preparation and lovely presentatio. Never had even a small disappointment here. And they always get you out the door in time for the theater.

We were influenced by the ratings of this restaurant and booked a table when we stayed overnight in Ashland. We ordered appetizers and a main course along with wine by the glass. The appetizers were of excellent flavor, but small in size, yet expensive in price. The main courses were priced at a more reasonable level, but the portions were... More

Early dinner prior to a play, wait staff friendly, efficient, helpful, fun! Three of us, all "foodies", tough graders, had a WONDERFUL dining experience. Paired the wine nicely, grand wine selection, crab salad, butter salad, lamb done to perfection, stuffed quail (would not always have this but wanted something more unique) was delightful, halibut done perfectly. Very satisfied diners this... More

We eat at Alchemy a couple of times a year, and it never disappoints. Everything is consistently top-notch, so it is also our go-to restaurant for special occasions.

A wonderful place in Ashland. Not cheap, by any means ( for two of us...$176 incl. tip--2 glasses of wine, 2 after dinner whiskey, dessert, as well as salad and main course). Portions are not huge (which is good, in my book), but the food is exquisitely prepared. Excellent innovative menu, including a substantial menu of high-end hard alcohol. Extremely... More

Spotted Alchemy and its high rating on TA and gave it a try. Very pleased with all aspects of the experience. Nice outside dining area.

It's rated highly for a reason. I had the stuffed quail and my wife had the flank steak. She thought hers could have used some more seasoning. So get the quail. It was amazing. It is stuffed with plums and rabbit sausage. You can't go wrong with rabbit sausage.
