Top notch in every way!!!

A dear friend from Sonoma was here for a visit and she had been to Amuse on two previous visits with her mother on one occasion, and her husband on the other, and she was eager to revisit it with me. It was DELICIOUS and DELIGHTFUL from the minute we were shown a beautiful table on the covered... read more

I ordered the salmon dinner. Encountered flies in the patio area and the meal was below expectations. I think this restaurant is over rated.

When the Chateaulin Restaurant closed a few years ago, we found ourselves looking for a high-end restaurant where we could celebrate our annual trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. We discovered the Amuse Restaurant, on First Street, not too far from the theatres. *ADVICE* If you want to be seated in time to attend an evening performance (8:00 pm), be... More

We've repeatedly enjoyed pre-theater dinners at the nearby Alchemy Restaurant, but on this evening, we made reservations too late to be accommodated there. Instead, we returned to Alchemy Restaurant, and were reminded that it is also a delightful experience. We were seated in the intimate room on the front, and enjoyed the ambience (and view of the street) in this... More

We were part of a group of ten at Amuse. We were pleased with how they handled us, in our own room, with good service. We both had the excellent three mushroom salad, which Ben followed with Alaskan halibut and John had sweetbreads with cherries. We completed the meal with Amuse’s famous beignets, which must be ordered early in the... More

This is the best restaurant in Ashland. Alchemy may claim that title; hard to say. The two are the tops at the higher end, upscale spots. Some complain about small portions; we strongly prefer smaller (not small, just smaller than the mountain man platters so often served elsewhere) but perfectly prepared. The wine list offers a choice of better Oregon and... We were the last patrons to be seated just before 9pm and our server made sure to bring our wine right away as well as help us with our food selections in a timely manner. We enjoyed a wonderful window nook at the front of the restaurant and savored each course without ever feeling hurried. Everything was top notch delicious... More

We had dinner on July 4th before a play and duplicated our outstanding experience from two years ago to the day. The service was friendly and attentive, the location is very central, and the atmosphere is charming. We had the corn soup (which we remembered from last time), the sweetbreads with pickled cherries, the halibut with quinoa, the game hen... More

Well prepared food was pleasantly served. The wait staff was exceptional .. but i'm getting used to the fact that Ashland restaurants seem to provide that anyway!

If you're going to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, be sure to have dinner one night at Amuse--a great restaurant. Seafood is wonderful as are the other dishes---both meat and vegetarian. Atmosphere and service were excellent.
