A party of 20? No problem, they'll all leave happy.

We've been coming to Ashland for the theatre for 30 years, and every year one night is always set aside for the whole group of 20 or more to eat outside on the creekside patio at the Thai Pepper. It worked when the kids were little, it still works now that we're older and they're in their 20s. Not... read more

Four of us went here before the an evening performance at the Shakespeare festival. We each ordered a different dish (Garlic shrimp and broccoli, Pad Thai, Yellow Country Chicken Curry, and Pad Mei) and everyone was very happy with their meal. The service was friendly, quick, and kept our water glasses filled. And it's with in easy walking distance of... More

My wife and I went on a Monday, which sees Happy Hour the whole evening starting at 5 pm in the bar area. We arrived at 7:30 pm and the place was very busy. We've been to numerous Thai restaurants around the world and in the U.S. and they are usually run by Thai staff and cooks. To our surprise,... More

Very good Thai food in downtown Ashland. Might not be what you expect - our Pad Thai noodles were vermicelli instead of the usual wide noodles - but the flavors are wonderful. And the portions are surprisingly generous. They also have a good selection of beer and wine. If we're ever back in Ashland we'll make a point of eating... More

We had a delicious dinner at this place which is 5 minutes from OSF. A full range of Thai cuisine. Larger portions so don't order too much food! Good quickishservice. Our second time here and we will be back again!

Upon entering Thai Pepper for the first time, the dining room did not appear busy, had a pleasant atmosphere, but the waitperson did not seem welcoming or enthused about seeing two elderly, well-dressed, non-hip gents at the entry. I tactfully challenged him as to whether we were welcome or not and he immediately became less condescending and actually smiled. From... More

While not the best Thai food is the country it is surely above average. The Thai Pepper has a well deserved reputation for quality and consistency. It is always full so it is best you get there early. You can't go wrong with any of their selections and it is a great pre/post play eating establishment.

The creekside setting is nice, and it's in a cool & funky old building. But the food is average and the portions are on the small side, which might not be so bad if it were not so overpriced! I'm sorry, but 16 dollars for a basic nothing-special Pad Thai is hard to swallow, especially if you're accustomed to eating... More

First time being here, but been wanting to go for a few years. I will point out the good points first: #1 the food amazing! I give it 5 stars out of five! We had the deep fried calamari, the best I have had in years! Not tuff at all likely battered with red sweet chile sauce. We also had... More
