We ate here before the theater and ordered the sirloin burger and the flax burger for dinner. Both were very good, Also shared a wonderful appetizer that the kitchen split for us. Our wine selections were delicious and the service outstanding. We enjoyed the fireplace and the quiet atmosphere inside and could speak without raising our voices.

This visit we dined there twice - once on the patio and once at a garden side table. Both times we were extremely pleased with the food and the service. The short ribs were excellent and on the last night, the presentation of my ribeye was novel and the steak delicious. My husband was equally pleased with his fish.

Peerless food and service are undeniably the best I have experienced in Ashland. You grabbed my heart and soul when you graciously welcomed my upcoming 12 week old show Newfoundland to your garden area and treated him like royalty! Thank you all for a such a wonderfully memorable dining experience. We will be seeing you often!

We were there with a tour group of 42 people. They seated us in a back room and supplied 2 wait persons. They insisted on taking drink orders and filling them before they would take meal orders even though we were ready. The meals seemed to take a long time to all arrive, and though some people only ordered appetizers,... More

We have been coming to Ashland for four to five days for over a decade, and of the available restaurants in Ashland, this has always ranked near the top for us. We usually come in mid-to late September so eating in the courtyard is one of the reasons we come, along with the food. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival's increasing success... More

Have been to Peerless before and while not spectacular, has always been good. Not last night. Wasn't too hungry so thought I'd order light. I had the lobster curry bisque and carpaccio. The bisque came. There were some nice pieces of lobster, but the bisque itself was lukewarm, watery, and tasteless; not even a hint of salt, let alone curry.... More

We took our adult son there. Some dishes were good, others just so so. Servings were very small, therefore we ordered dessert.

There's a new (Summer, 2014) chef at the Peerless, and to pervert Bob Dylan's lyrics, "the last one now will later be first." We had put the Peerless off our list a few years ago because the food was pricey and just "Ech." This year the Peerless is on the top of our fine dining list. The tastes on the... More

I wanted to give all excellently, but the waiter made too many errors...big ones. My daughter asked for a suggestion for a dry white wine. The waiter said the white by the glass was available by the bottle and very good...it was way too sweet! My daughter's boyfriend ordered the short ribs, but was served the lamb. At 9:00, he... More

The Peerless has just hired a chef from Hawaii. Excellent food with an Hawaiian flavor. Recommend the sampler with two sliders, chicken wings, hummus and pita bread or the short ribs. Fresh Hawaiian Fish flown in daily. One of the downsides is the noise. The bar is in the restaurant and it has a very popular Happy Hour. The noise... More
