Great wine selection, unique menu - good for vegetarians & carnivores alike. I've returned here a number of times; I've never been disappointed.

We had dinner one night during a visit to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival at Peerless on Fourth Street. We ate on the restaurant’s patio, enjoying every minute of it. My husband had Washington state oysters—they are smaller than Chesapeake or Normandy oysters, a chilled melon soup, and a golden beet salad. The beets, with general consensus from the others had... This restaurant is supposed to be the most upscale restaurant in Ashland. Sadly, the help doesn't help that reputation. Our waiter had greasy hair, bad teeth and three days of stubble. He was overworked, and overwhelmed! He made a mistake on our bill. In addition the cook didn't listen to our request that the salmon be cooked well. It was... More

Probably the best meal we've had in our many years visiting Ashland. Just a block and a half off of Main Street in an area of cute shops, about 10 minutes from the theaters. We sat inside looking out on their large outdoor garden seating area (it was raining). Warm, elegant dining room. Their menu is very flexible: lots of... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Peerless Restaurant. The day was warm and the garden area was perfect with enough shade from umbrellas to make it comfortable. We were never rushed and enjoyed a long evening in the fresh air. The perfect place to be. The menu had an excellent variety of meals, including the small plates that my husband... More

Few vegetarian choices...but the food/value ratio is very low. Waitstaff was good, but front of the house could care less - and I was there with a party of 5. Try another restaurant and save your $ from this place.

great food, wait staff, and ambiance at its best. We enjoy dining in Ashland, and among the best of the best (Amuse, Thai Pepper, Cucina), Peerless always delivers a fine evening. When the weather is warm, ask for a table on the deck or in the garden. Excellent food, drinks, wine list.

The atmosphere and service were wonderful, and we lingered a long time. We did not feel rushed, even though it was a Saturday night. The food was very good, but not outstanding. The most interesting part of the menu is called Small Plates, and we ordered several of those, including Green Bean Fries, Chimichurri Prawn Skewer, and Calamari. All were... More

Great ambiance, service, and food! The prosecco wasn't bad, either. Nothing more to say, other than it's a place I'd recommend to friends and visitors.

Our dinner and breakfast were among the most delightful we have ever had in Ashland. Dinner was sumptuous, ranging from salad nicoise to mushroom bisque--as good as our meals in Paris last year. The food is artful, mindful, tasteful--you could expect nothing more thoughtful and delicious. HIgh marks on food: above average marks on decor and service.
