This restaurant is so good that we went back two nights in a row to try the other small plates we missed the first night. First of all, the "small plates" are not all that small, compared to other restaurants. Two plates each and you have a full meal. Owner Crissy Barnett, (also owns the Peerless Hotel next door) and... more

I have dined at Peerless from time to time since it opened, usually at someone's invitation. Those dining experiences have always been been pleasant and I have enjoyed the restaurant but it has never been one of those places that I can hardly wait to get back to. Several weeks ago I went with an out-of-town friend who was eager... more

After walking to the Peerless from the center of Ashland at the conclusion of a Shakespeare matinee, we decided to make a reservation for later in the evening, and DRIVE back. The restaurant is out of the way, compared to many of the other places in town, but the walk or drive is well worth it. We were so glad... more

Peerless is a great place to dine if you know what to order. Do a few of the small plates instead of a main entree. Start with the Prawn Cocktail and the fried calamari is great too. The butternut squash gnocchi is another good choice. Sit in the outdoor patio and go on Wednesday, as they don't charge a corkage... more

Being locals in Ashland, my husband and I have our pick of delicious restaurants to choose from. For our anniversary, we chose the Peerless. Overall, the restaurant delivers except for one detail, which unfortunately was the center of our meal. The ambience is upscale and quite comfortable. Our table was tucked away just enough to feel private, a must for... more

It was just me, so I got right in at 5:30 - if there are a few people in your party and you are trying to make a play I recommend a reservation. I had two appetizers and a salad. This was too much food. Their appetizer portions are far more generous than what I expected. I had a salmon... more

I don't often write reviews, but when one has a perfect dining experience one has to shout from the mountain tips! The Peerless Restaurant in the Railroad District of Ashland, Oregon offers the rare combination of atmosphere, food and YES AMAZING SERVICE! We entered this oasis of inspired cuisine to find a Hostess who seemed to love her job, we... more

What was the problem on Monday night, August 27? Two of us went there for dinner and were seated in the garden where about 6 other tables were at various stages of dinner (several almost finished). There was only one table occupied inside. We were given menus and water while we waited and waited and waited. There were 4 servers... more

While we were experiencing computer difficulties, there is still not excuse for the lack of service and the perceived rudeness this guest received. We pride ourselves on our high level of service and commitment to our guests. While it is difficult for us to read a negative review, we value the feedback. Be assured that this is a lesson well...

The Peerless Restaurant has nailed two out of three important features required of a "top tier" restaurant. Unfortunately, the food is not one of them. The location, on a sidestreet in Ashland, Oregon, right across from a machine shop, can be touted as 'kitchy'. Very upscale interior, and a beautiful dining courtyard to one side which I believe is for... more

In 2007, Peerless Restaurant has a new Chef and new cuisine, up to the mark of excellence that we are known for. I hope that all of the visitors to Ashland as well as locals will come and see, taste and experience for themselves the exquisite cuisine we offer!
