If you've loved the pastries in Paris, then find your way to "A" Street in Ashland on a Friday or Saturday morning and be prepared to be amazed. Their pastries are THAT GOOD! True artists who use only the finest ingredients. Get there early because they sell out quickly.

We stopped by the Deux Chats based on all the positive reviews. When you first approach the bakery, the comforting and exciting smell of butter greets you and you just know you are in for something good. The bakery is small, but has a number of appealing pastries, both sweet and savory as well as bread. I was excited to... More

I'm always happy for friday when Deaux Chats is open! I call ahead in the morning to reserve my scones because they often sell out before I get there. I stop on my way to work. These are the best scones in town! Of course, I usually pick out some other goodies while I'm there too.

It is only open at 7:30 to sell-out on Friday and Saturday mornings. It is absolutely thee reason to get up early and get in line for great breads and french pastries, sweet, or savory.

You can't go wrong with anything you choose here. Michelle is an excellent baker/pastry chef, and Garrett and the front counter staff are the friendliest you'll find anywhere. Even the gluten-free items are delish!

It is close to my house and the owner is nice. The breads and goodies are Bay Area quality! Fresh! Trouble is, he isn't open every day.

Immaculate bakery, exquisite pastries, we wanted to try one of everything. Choose several, then walk your treasures to Noble Coffee for a high-brow cup to go along.

This place is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings. The pastries are incredible and you have to get there early if you want a good selection as everything sells out quickly. Try the "knots".

Everything was excellent, but the "to die for" was the lemon lavender muffin. The lightness and flakey crusts - also the almond croissant and the chocolate croissant - oh my! Then walk down to 4th street for an exceptional coffee/latte/mocha at Noble Coffee. A must "do" while in Ashland. Open Tues-Sat.

Delicious, quality pastries - real French style baked goods not just cookies as is often the case in Ashland. The only negatives are they often sell out by 10am and they are open often just Friday and Saturday - although summer days are more frequent. Worthwhile - definitely - but best for early birds!
