Ask for spicier salsa - they hide it in the back ;-)

The only issue I have with La Casa Del Pueblo is the cookie cutter feel of the menu. If you go to the Mazatlan Grill in Central Point, Guadalajara or Si Casa Flores in Medford or that other place on the J'ville Hwy across from the old Thunderbird ... you get the identical offerings. Even the... read more

The food has very little flavor and salsa was bland. The server was so nice saves the lunch! Had the macho burrito maybe you might have better luck with something else.

Large portions of good Mexican fare. Would not go out of my way to return. I had the thinly sliced Flank steak and it was not very tender.

My wife and I ate dinner here on a Wednesday evening. We were treated to a warm welcome and continued friendliness throughout our meal. We were seated at a booth and given chips and salsa. The chips were fine, but we both thought the salsa was runny and bland. We ordered combination plates so sampled four of their dishes. We... More

We had a real nice meal here last night. I had the spicy shrimp and my wife had the taquitos. I asked for the shrimp extra spicy, and got it! Margarita was enormous, enough for the two of us to share. Prices are about average for the area, good chips and salsa. If you like spicy salsa, ask for it,... More

The people that own this restaurant are super nice, and I like how they sometimes speak to you in Spanish. The food is pretty inexpensive, especially for the portion size! Holy moly, definitely share!

We just returned from a weekend in Ashland, OR where we were moving my daughter into her dorm room at Southern Oregon University. We stayed at the Flagship Inn and on the grounds is La Casa Del Pueblo. It was close by and we were worn out from driving from Bend, OR so we decided to give it a try.... More

It had excellent food and great service. Husband had a seafood dish with "secret sauce". He said it was the best he's every had.

Delicious plentiful food with some specialties like mole sauce. Very friendly staff with lively Mexican decor. Definitely better than expected from a restaurant in the corner of a motel parking lot!

A very friendly staff seated us and almost immediately brought a small basket of warm taco chips and salsa. From a menu of Mexican specialties my 'Pollo al la diablo" was wonderfully spicy hot and tasty; my partner's chicken enchilada/chile relleno combo was also very good. Along with a bottle of cerveza (Pacifico $3.95), tax and a $5 tip, the... More
