We had 4 in our party. Everyone thought the food was fantastic. The scallops were done to perfection, a little carmelized on the outside. My husband and our friend enjoyed the ribeye. My desert was a chocolate dish, very good, plan to share it. The cheesecake was really good too and a bit different. The atmosphere was sophisticated & intimate.... More

Coquina is located about 10 blocks downhill from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival but is an outstanding choice when visiting Ashland. What evil genius created the addictive fried brussel sprout and potato chip appetizer? The waitress brought a gigantic portion which was more than enough for two people: we tried exercising self control but could not stop until we ate the... More

While attending the OSF, we seldom deviate too far from Main Street - there are many good options right there. But we went with some friends to Coquina, and we're glad we did. Half of us had the scallops, and half had the halibut, and all fully enjoyed their meal. The head waiter, and his wife, the chef, are the... More

We dined at a new restaurant, during a visit to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, somewhat off Main Street, La Coquina, with an eclectic menu and a half local wine list. I had a pea shoot and hazelnut salad as a starter and a huge bowl of gnocchi with a sauce made of Kobe beef and chopped pork bolognesi. I coupled... More

This was an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the menu creative. Everything was good. The bread you get before the meal was crunchy yet sift with a hint of salt and garlic. I would recommend the beet and mushroom salad, gnocchi and the pea leaf salad was definitely the coolest thing I have ever tried.

As residents of Ashland, we try to eat in as many restaurants as possible (there are so many!).....and we always seem to end up here for special nights. Whether it's having an incredible meal, a quick drink and app before the film festival or celebrating a milestone, we just LOVE this place. The owner and his wife are absolutely incredible,... More

We had a lovely evening at this little restaurant-a beautiful find in Ashland and away from the crowds which we appreciated. The staff were excellent from the hostess, our waiter(s), a fabulous bus gal and the owner all seemed to take their time to answer our questions and deliver an exquisite meal. We had the crab and avocado salad special... More

Our group of 8 had a spectacular dinner at Coquina - pleasing everyone, even those who had a very bad (service too slow) experience 2 years ago and were prepared to dislike it. My husband characterized his foie gras appetizer as a taste adventure - he kept finding small bits of this or that on the plate, each enlivening and... More

Dined here before the theater, asked for the patio as it was a warm evening. Very nice little garden, service just as good as inside. I had a very interesting small pot of custard Vichyssoise , more solid than the soup but same flavor. Topped with micro greens & sautéed , shallots, it was. Relative & tasty. I had another... More
