Minutes from our hotel, this restaurant rates 6 out of 10 for me. The sushi tended to be overwhelmed by mayonnaise and other goo. Our server was a little clumsy. The atmosphere a little stiff except for one of the sushi chefs who was comical. In all, it's a decent restaurant but with so many other good places to go... More

We found this restaurant while looking for another Asian restaurant that we found out had closed. I had JPop (jalapenos stuffed with crab, crawfish and cream cheese and a bowl of Japanese noodle soup. My companions had yaka soba and Philly rolls with tempura shrimp. The food was excellent and the service was especially good since we were the only... More

We stopped in for lunch, liking the look of the menu and upon the recommendation of several people who work in the area. Good service, VERY GOOD food, and very good prices for the value. We ate two very different Asian dishes (pad Thai and Korean barbecue) and both were excellently well done. We will for sure come back to... More

For a slightly late lunch, I ordered kung pao tofu, which was very good. A pleasant touch for the warm day was "cucumber water" served as the table drinking water. The chefs are Indonesian, at least the day crew is, so look for Indonesian touches in the food. I strongly suspect that they would prepare the more common Indonesian dishes... More

Taroko makes a great variety of Asian foods from pad thai to sushi, Korean, Mongolian and much more. Always served hot and with a nice presentation. The staff are always very attentive. The wines are reasonably priced.

As two couples we came for an early dinner so it wasn't crowed yet at 5:00 pm on a Sunday...The place looks small from the sidewalk, but is a much bigger on the inside. There are multiple rooms in which to eat..All quite darkish in decor and lighting...We ate in the more pleasant front room where the sushi is being... More

There isn't a lot of good asian food in Ashland, so Taroko is better than nothing, but not a favorite. None of their dishes are great, but they are decent. The service is only ok, and they are very slow when crowded.

We ate here twice two days in a row. My husband had the sushi that he said was very fresh and very good. I had tempura one day and the pot stickers the next. The tempura was great, but I found the pot stickers a little bland, but were very fresh and hand made. Would definitely got back again.

We stopped here for lunch and also because of the reviews. We thought the sushi was okay, it had a lot of rice in the rolls, which we don't like. Although the service was good, the decor was fun and cute. We probably won't be back, because we have had better sushi.
