As two couples we came for an early dinner so it wasn't crowed yet at 5:00 pm on a Sunday...The place looks small from the sidewalk, but is a much bigger on the inside. There are multiple rooms in which to eat..All quite darkish in decor and lighting...We ate in the more pleasant front room where the sushi is being... More

There isn't a lot of good asian food in Ashland, so Taroko is better than nothing, but not a favorite. None of their dishes are great, but they are decent. The service is only ok, and they are very slow when crowded.

We ate here twice two days in a row. My husband had the sushi that he said was very fresh and very good. I had tempura one day and the pot stickers the next. The tempura was great, but I found the pot stickers a little bland, but were very fresh and hand made. Would definitely got back again.

For some reason this placed is never packed. Every dish or cocktail I have ordered I have loved!! Last night was my 4th visit. All if them great. The fusion roll was incredible, the Thai shrimp soup special looked amazing. Great staff. Nice seating

We stopped here for lunch and also because of the reviews. We thought the sushi was okay, it had a lot of rice in the rolls, which we don't like. Although the service was good, the decor was fun and cute. We probably won't be back, because we have had better sushi.

We went here for a drink and a small bite to eat. We were seated immediately in the bar area (where we asked to be). My partner placed a drink order but I needed more time. It took over 10 minutes for someone to come back and that only after the bartender came out from behind the bar to fill... More

We looked this place up on yelp and found that it was ranked well, and within walking distance. We got a table upstairs, but onyl after they tried to seat us in the back which looked like it was even open for seating. Then the waitress we had took forever to take our orders, as well as almost never checking... More

We ate dinner here before a Shakespeare play (the stages are less than a block away, can't get any closer). Wonderful food and great presentation. If you like Asian food (especially sushi) this is your best option in Ashland. We ordered "A Sushi Named Desire" and the "Thai Green Curry" which is a terrific combination for two people. The Sushi... More

It is a unique experience, to eat in a Japanese restaurant alone. I think of sushi and all the other little plates as being so communal -- sharing bites, chopsticks criss-crossing one another for morsels off others' plates. So I really value the memory of my peaceful and beautiful -- and solo -- lunch at Taroko recently. I had an... More

After being taken by shuttle from our hotel to the theater, we had less than an hour to have dinner before King Lear began. Taroko Pan-Pacific Bistro was just a few short blocks away. It was very busy, and we were afraid we would not make it back to the theater in time. However, the staff was so good about... More
