After perusing the choices of eateries in Ashland, we decided on Taroko. We didn't make a reservation, but were seated immediately. Tableware was attractive and menus were offered. There is a large choice of rolls; we decided on several orders of sushi (nigiri) These were attractively presented and were very fresh and delicious. We also ordered some salt and pepper... More

This is the kind of place to experiment and try small plates and sushi. Everything we tried was excellent, particularly the seaweed salad, the green mussels, Crunch Tiger Hidden Dragon roll and the R&R roll. The prices are reasonable -- not always the case in Ashland. A nice atmosphere and attentive service rounded out a great meal.

Four of us ate here, our first meal in Ashland on a family trip. One vegetarian dumpling soup, one order of salmon negiri, one order of salmon skin maki, one kung pao chicken and one mongolian beef. Everything was good - the kung pao was a little sweeter than I prefer, but the celery and carrots in it were crunchy... More

We ate here two years ago on our first day in Ashland and then forgot about it. This time, we remembered and enjoyed it. There is an amazing array of choices. The sashimi salad and maki we chose were scrumptious. Our only complaint is that the dining areas are kind of dark; it would be a good for a bar... More

If you are looking for great food in Ashland, Oregon come here. They have great pho and pork potstickers. They also have a back entrance/exit that takes you right to the bricks by the theaters for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. This makes it very convenient.

We always come here for the Pho for dinner or lunch before a play. Great service and their back stairs take you right up to the Bricks of OSF and you are right at your show!

I have eaten here several times over the last few years and have never been disappointed. Last night I ordered the Mongolian Beef which had just a touch of nip to the tender slices of beef. A friend had seaweed salad, something I would never order on my own, but tried some-delicious! There is an extensive sushi menu, also tempuras.... More

This quiet, nicely appointed restaurant is on the same block as the Shakespeare Festival theaters. The Japanese/Asian inspired food was very good, the service excellent and the prices very reasonable. We enjoyed our dinner here so much the second night of our one week stay in Ashland that we went back for our final night in town.

We stumbled upon this little gem on accident. Heading out to the brewery which ended up being closed I remembered tarokos getting excellent reviews. Everyone loved their meals but the sushi was great but the appetizers were to die for. We will be back for sure.

Taroko emerge from the ashes of another Asian restaurant, that for some reason, disappeared. The atmosphere hasn't changed but we were very surprised at the quality of the food. It was excellent and reasonable in a town that tends to feature expensive restaurants that cater to the "big city" folks that come to enjoy the plays. The soups are excellent... More
