Pub decor with a meat-centric menu. Good service, smart people. Very few options that do not involve a huge piece of protein, which os certainly attractive to many, but if you have a smaller appetite, try sharing. Good drinks

This place was recommended as a good place to eat, given the large selection of quality restaurants in Ashland. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the recommendation. We were seated at the last table available, which was a good thing, given we didn't have reservations. The restaurant and bar were both full. The wait-staff was harried and unable to keep... More

We walked in and got a bad vibe. I used their website to make a reservation, but it didn't show up on their computer. Host made a snarky remark. Quality of food is overpriced for what we got (English-style pub food. Mashed potatoes tasted like a combination of real and dried potato flakes and chicken didn't taste like it was... More

If your vegan or a veggie head stop reading now but if your normal and think God made animals for humans to eat then this is your place. Ribs, steak and anything pork are wonderful. Collard greens are amazing so you can get your greens but you come here for the meat. Location and service are great as well

We went to eat at Smithfields as part of our annual trip to Ashland in 2015. This restaurant would be a must for any meat lover, including me. The interior and service was OK, but the food was great! I ordered a lemonade as a drink, and Fish and Chips for my meal. Both tasted great and I had a... More

Every time I visit Ashland, which is yearly if not more frequent, I dine at this meat centric restaurant. For several years I was very satisfied with my meals, even though I never had great service. This year was different. I was so disappointed in the food as well! The marrow bones were served half raw with the fat still... More

I have a nut allergy and the server made a great effort to be sure all was carefully prepared. My meal was delicious and the Cheese Grits with bacon were #YUM! I will go back if in Ashland again.

This is a great restaurant and full bar. Neil Clooney is an inspired chef, and the wait staff is attentive and friendly. If you are a Meat-eater, this is for you, though there is always a veg and/or fish choice as well.

I've only been here three times, but have been very pleased on each occasion. This is definitely not a restaurant for vegetarians. They prepare different types of meats in a very tasty and sometimes unusual manner. My favorite item here is the bone marrow appetizer. I'm hoping to come across sweetbreads on the specials board one day. A nice selection... More
