On a 90 degree day there is no better place to hang out than the shaded patio at Caldera. Plus they love dogs in this generally dog-unfriendly town. Caldera's own brews are very nice, plus they are open-minded enough to serve an excellent selection of other beers, too.

Beautiful location. Food for the stomach, as well as the soul. I was able to find a "dog friendly" table for me and my 8 lb dog. Service was wonderful, food was wonderful, atmosphere was in nature and wonderful.

Many Ale males and Lager ladies know that the NorthWest and in particular, Oregon, is Beer Nirvana. The Yakima Valley in Washington State was the place that the Craft Beer scene really took off thanks to Bert Grant who wanted to be close to the hop fields to be able to produce the Fresh/Wet Hop Ales he became famous for.... We really liked the beer and the selection is amazing. It is located inside a warehouse type building and it is a bit hard to find and parking is an issue. They have inside and outside seating. My salad was not very good, but my husband said his burger was good. I would go there for the beer again for... More

If you're visiting Ashland and are downtown, which is where you should definitely check out, aside from the world-famous Oregon Shakespeare Festiva, you'll find a cozy little bar and grille on Lithia Creek across from Thai Pepper restaurant that serves good hamburgers and other sandwiches that are reasonably priced. This is sometimes a venue for music at night and across... More

What do you do when you go to a micro brewery and don't have a clue what to order because none of the "brands" sound familiar? Order their beer sample tray and ask for something close to your preferred type (mine is light/pale). I found one I especially liked, and put a pretty good dent in the rest of the... More

Good beer, all around, but the one that gets the five stars is the green chili beer. It sound gimmicky and awful, but it is luscious, just a tinge of heat and green chili flavor. I wish they bottled the stuff!

Caldera is a destination and worth the effort to find it. It has great beer and a menu offering a menu with many delicious choices. The restaurant is a large clean modern space with excellent service and very reasonable prices.

The meal and IPA were excellent. The atmosphere was very informal. The facility is very comfortable and relaxed.
