Lovely romantic French restaurant

The Loft is a lovely, elegant, second-floor restaurant serving real French food made with local, seasonal ingredients. We have been here many times over the last four months and invariably found the service friendly and prompt and the meal excellent. They now have a sunny room as their bar ("Carpe... read more

The Loft is a great place for brunch. What could be better that mimosas and eggs benedict? No problem switching potatoes for fresh fruit.

I again dined at the Loft with family during my most recent trip to Ashland, Oregon and enjoyed the Seafood Bouillabaisse on this occasion. I love seafood and I was not disappointed as I enjoyed the variety of seafood in the Bouillabaisse as well as the perfectly seasoned broth it was prepared in. Also, all the staff were very pleasant... More

We were initally disappointed that the tapas menu had been suspended for the winter (we were truly looking forward to their steak tartare) - and then were further disappointed that their excellent pate was not on the appetizer list. But fear not - My wife had TDF crab cakes followed by a wonderful duck dish, while I ventured into the... More

As usual the dinner at the loft was quite nice nothing outstanding but above-average. Unfortunately after leaving the restaurant and so we would not upset the friends who were with us for dinner my wife told me that the coq au vin was absolutely horrendous. She said it Should not even have been served. So disappointed. My meal and my... More

I had the opportunity to dine at the Loft in Ashland, Oregon as I live pretty far away. I ordered the steak dinner and it was perfectly cooked to my liking and was delicious!! Also, served with my steak was a French style pan fried potato that was different from any I have ever had before and I enjoyed the... More

New Year's Eve and very busy restaurant. We waited 30 minutes for a reserved table and obviously upset; however the owner handled it with flying colors--gracious, kind, apologetic and classy! The table was romantic--number 7 by the fireplace. Fabulous food that was worth the wait! We just returned from Europe and ate at a few Michelin-starred restaurants--Loft could be a... More

The Loft is becoming one of our favorite restaurant in Ashland. The French-leaning food is quite good and worth the stop. On a recent visit the 4 of us had different entrees which were all excellent. Wine choices are solid. The restaurant is in a nice space above the plaza and has outdoor space in the summer. If you're looking... More

Wandered into this restaurant after leaving the Granite Taphouse, where after being seated promptly with a menu, we waited for 20 minutes for a waitperson and noticed that at only one table of many were people eating. At Loft, we split a goat cheese salad, ate separate orders of clams with linguine and shared a crepe Suzette and a bottle... More

We have been to the Loft on many occasions over the years that they have been in business. I echo the comment of other reviewers that I wish they still opened for lunch, but I'm still so pleased that they are there, and serving such excellent food. When I'm asked to recommend a restaurant, I used to pause, because chefs... More
