Good Value in an Expensive City

We ended up here for dinner on our last night in Ashland. After perusing menus all over town and seeing steak for $35.00 and up everywhere else, we decided to eat here. I had had lunch here a year ago, and remembered it being very good. He had the steak, which was GREAT -- cooked to perfection... read more

The food was served piping hot, but there were no cashews in the cashew chicken! The pad Thai noodles were too sweet (and we order them in every Thai restaurant). Their entrées are not conducive to sharing with several people. They are meant to be ordered and consumed individually, and we prefer to share several dishes with several people.

I always get the calamari appetizer and it is really good (crispy, not chewy). I like the lemongrass cooler, but it is a bit sweet. Love eating good food while sitting by the creek in beautiful Ashland.

Best edamame I've ever had...seriously. Grilled to perfection with some asian seasonings and olive oil, slightly blackened skins make it impossible to stop eating. I love the stone rice bowl that comes piping hot in a charcoal bowl with fried egg and a series of hot sauces in it. My husband loves the pad thai with a local IPA. I... More

Atmosphere and service were fantastic. We ordered two starters - the calamari and the pot stickers - both were amazing, and exceeded expectations. The Thai ice tea was more bitter than sweet, it was nice that they used raw sugar, but sugar doesn't dissolve in cold liquid. They need to make a simple syrup with the raw sugar to add... More

I love Sesame, but they keep changing their menu. I have had many great meals there, but at this time I walk by, read the current menu and keep on walking. Come on Sesame, why are you "fixing" what isn't broken. Sigh.... I am a local who remembers when the storefront you occupy was an office supply store. Your current... More

We wandered in to Sesame after a walk in Lithia Park. Interesting, well-flavored Asian fusion dishes. Open, bright and casual setting. Great place for lunch.

We have been here many times and usually give an excellent rating. The food was very good this time, but just a little less amazing than usual. Perhaps it was the selection. We both ordered the char siu pork. The base is thick wheat noodles. The pork is tender and there are fresh and cooked bean sprouts and mushrooms in... More

Good service and great food. Wife and I grabbed a late lunch and both of us really enjoyed the food.

This restaurant sits right on Lithia Park with a great view of the park and creek - the food is interesting and creative - Wonderful duck potstickers, and hot stone bowl (My favorite). I have never had a bad meal here :)
