Typical diner

This restaurant is right in front of the Best Western Hotel. We had a long day on the road and we decided to just walk over as we did not feel like driving anywhere for dinner. Décor and everything is just like a typical roadside dinner. We both ordered pork chops for dinner. It came with a... read more

Want a great place to catch the game, and at the same time the best Bloody in town. Go to the Tree! Great breakfast offerings, including biscuit and gravy.

Oak Tree is my favorite place to eat breakfast. The omelets are fluffy. The hash browns are always cooked to a lovely golden shade on the outside, and are perfectly soft on the inside. The staff is always friendly. The food is served quickly. If you are looking for gourmet food you won't find it here, but it is a... More

We enjoyed three good breakfasts here while visiting Ashland. The place is clean (if a little kitschy). The eggs benedict was really good, and I'm quite picky about a good hollandaise sauce. The portions were generous without being over-the-top too much food. The service was fast and friendly.

My husband hoped it served a turkey dinner, and was overjoyed that it did. Terrific waiter. I had a chicken, spinach and feta salad. We were both happy. Reasonable prices. Tasty, and perfectly prepared meals. Went back for breakfast and were happy we could get egg beaters for our omelets. Wish they also made healthy muffins, nut only buttermilk biscuits.... More

Maybe inspired by the snowshoes and Swiss chalet decor I opted for an Bavarian inspired thing: Sauerkraut, potato salad and rye bread. However Germans would not include corned beef as did my dish. My wife had a burger with avocado as one of the main ingredients. Thus we were both "off the beaten track" as far as lunch is concerned.... More

The food is good, the bartender is a part-owner, the tv's are well placed and show all the latest games, and the people are every-day and celebs too--a former NBA all star coach for example. A good place to hang out.

Amid all the fancy and sometimes pretentious choices available in Ashland here is a family friendly place where regulars are known by name and their preferences remembered. Think family owned back-in-the day coffee shop with an eclectic assortment of peculiar and interesting pieces decorating the dinning room. I found it a friendly treat-every-one-like-family kind of place. The food was good... More

Stopped in after a round of golf this morning and was offered a new dish. Fried chicken breast , egg over med, 2 slices of bacon with gravy on a thick biscuit . All components of this dish were cooked perfectly. The service was prompt and friendly! I recommend this dish to all it is really something special!

We've eaten here a couple of times before and found it to be a rustic, pleasant place, but it must have changed hands, because it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We ordered their fried chicken, which we had in the past and found it quite good. The menu says to expect 20 extra minutes for... More
