This restaurant is beautiful and unique. A very relaxing and quality atmosphere. The service is average. The food however, isn't so positive. I had the pizza and it tasted like glorified cardboard and was a small portion for a hefty price. Other party members had burgers and said they were just "okay." Haven't been back.

Stopped in for a small bite after vineyard hopping. Shared a pizza, very tasty! Service was a bit slow, but we didn't have our kiddo, so wasn't a bother! Would recommend if you are in the Amity area!

We decided to take a trip from Salem to the Blue Goat. Some of our friends had eaten there...with mixed reviews. So we made a reservation for three for a Sunday night. We arrived, and were pleasently surprised by the decor. The restaurant was filled with a blend of old and new. It was hopping, but we were promtply seated... More

What a great little restaurant! The atmosphere blends country chic with funky artisan. The servers are all friendly and efficient. And the food is delicious. I recommend sitting at the counter near the large open-flame terracotta oven where you can watch the food preparation--and that whale-like oven. We've eaten here half a dozen times and never been disappointed. Today for... More

If you find yourself traveling in Oregon Wine Country Northwest of Salem, The Blue Goat is a great stop for lunch, dinner or a late afternoon refresher. They have a rustic wood fired pizza oven that imparts a unique flavor and is used for other inventive preparations that change daily. Always ask for their daily specials. In addition, many microbrews... More

A beautiful country drive through rolling green hills and vineyards from either Salem or Portland metro area leads you to the tiny town of Amity. This rustic chic restaurant offers unusual items like locally foraged seasonal salads and namesake goat meat and sausage. Pretty much everything is cooked in a huge wood-fired oven, so there are flatbreads as well as... More

One of the hidden secrets in the Willamette Valley. This restaurant features unique foods, a wide selection of local wines and beers and a most special pizza/flatbread oven. Delicious.

The server at Firesteed winery recommended Blue Goat. We would have driven right by if we were not looking for it. Had a wild salmon sandwich and a great salad. Very good, helpful service. There were so many other things on the menu that I wanted to try...I will be back! They have a cob oven in the center of... More

This was our second meal at Blue Goat, and it was even better than the first. We arrived late for lunch on a Sunday, hoping for a light dinner-ish meal that was a bit special. We got it! Goat empanadas were a treat! I had never eaten goat before and was prepare to "learn to like" a more distinctive taste... More

What a pleasant surprise to find such a wonderful restaurant in the little farm community of Amity. All the food is made from scratch and is as imaginative as it is good. They have a wood oven for gormet pizza, and an extensive locally produced wine list. Service is excellent.
