We were looking for a great meal after the OSU graduation. We ran across this restaurant after doing a search and checking here. Our party had seafood, salmon, halibut, and chicken dishes and some wonderful desserts. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. What we really liked was the ambiance. Tables are spread out throughout a fairly large room so you... More

Whenever we want the best, most innovative and fresh, from-scratch food, Sybaris is our choice. Matt Bennett, twice-nominated NW James Beard Chef, consistently puts together creative, inspired meals frequently including indigenous, local ingredients. For example, last week we started with a chilled artichoke soup with Dungeness crab and the chilled scallop & shrimp boudin blanc with local bay shrimp and... More

Fantastic place featuring what appeared to be all local ingredients. Great atmosphere in restored building in small town Oregon. Excellent music and ambiance to go with superb meal. Creative menu with options for all. According to friends we ate with from Albany, this place has been around for a while. They had their routine down pat. Nice people too.....

The menu changes monthly, and Chef Matt Bennett uses as much locally-sourced and seasonal product as possible. If there are specials the day of your visit, they are always terrific. wonderful wine selection, great cocktails. Head Waiter Jesse Brown and his team do a wonderful job

I have had many good meals at Sybaris over the last couple years. The menu changes often and the chef/owner puts a lot of time and effort into his restaurant. I have had some outstanding food and some that was just average but still high priced. I would suggest checking out the menu in advance to see if there is... More

The preparation, quality and presentation of the food was top-notch from the appetizers, soups, salads, entree's and desserts. Truly exceptional and all made in-house. Menu was lively and diverse with lots of unusual ingredient pairings and an adequate variety to suit all diners at our table. We will definitely return. Service was a bit off which prevented a 5 star... More

So what makes a restaurant awesome? What makes you come back over and over even though the menu is different almost every time you visit? Here's what it is: thought & care. The thought that goes into creating interesting, creative and innovative dishes. And the care to execute those dishes without shortcuts or compromise. Thinking of the customer in every... More

The changing menu and the use of northwest, local foods makes this a wonderful experience. It should be a stop for any foodie.

Went here on a visit from California. Now I wish we lived closer. Would be here all the time. Food was some of the best we ever had. Everything fresh and in season. Wine list is extensive. Service was flawless. Located in an old brick building. Fireplace roaring, rain outside. Just the perfect night
