BBQ on the Deck

The BBQ was all quite good. We (two of us) shared the BBQ Sampler and had food left over. Do choose a shady spot on the deck as the sun pops over the building and shines on tables nearest the river. I only gave 4 "stars" because the ribs were a bit dry. Two BBQ sauces are available, both are... read more

The ribs are very tasty and the blackberry cobbler delicious! In fact, everyone in our group enjoyed their lunches. The staff here is very accommodating and pleasant.

Had the best hamburgers we have eaten in decades. Delicious, definitely not overcooked like 99,9% of the hamburgers we've had elsewhere. Sides are great. Baked beans especially tasty.Super fresh rolls. Companion had pulled pork also excellent. Ate on the deck overlooking the river. We don't usually linger over our meals but we did here. Hated to leave that lovely spot.... More

The food is pretty average, but the hotel rooms actually look pretty good and are comfy. It's an easy walk down to the river.

We rode Jerry's mailboat up the Rogue River and got dropped off for lunch at this great lodge for lunch. We had the beef brisket sandwich and pulled pork. Both were quite tasty and reasonably priced. The pulled pork plate came with corn on the cob and corn bread plus a homemade side dish. I had Mac n cheese which... More

Great pulled pork and brisquet sandwiches ... We also enjoyed the sides ... plenty of food and a reasonable price too. We were part of Jerry's Jet Boat tour and the restaurant did get hit with about 50 people in a very short period of time. The service was great! We were happy and pleased

Dinner stop on 7 hr trip. We were hot and tired. Lovely views of river with small breeze and birds to entertain. Fast service even tough 50 people descended on the restaurant all at once. Drinks with lots of ice and quick refills. Menu limited hamburgers and BBQ. Lots of choices of sides. Prices $10 to $16. Our pulled pork... More

Our jet boat excursion dropped us off at this restaurant for lunch. We sat outdoors at a picnic table. Killer views of the river. The service was exceptionally fast. We had our food minutes after ordering. I had a grilled cheese that was really good. My husband ordered one of the BBQ sandwiches and he said it was really good.... More

Terrible BBQ, and the sides were even worse. Baked Beans were absolutely the worst! The coleslaw was very dry with no flavor. Corn on the cob was 1/2 of a small to medium ear of frozen, mushy, tasteless corn that would NOT melt ambient temp butter. 4 of us, 2 folks ordered soft drinks, other 2, just water. When we... More

After a recent disappointing eating experience at another Agness food establishment, we chose to go to Cougar Lane as our lunch stop on the jet boat trip. It was very pleasant. Both of us had the smoked half chicken which came with corn on the cob, muffins, watermelon, and fries. for $14.95 each. It was a little pricy but very... More
