Casa Nueva is a "must have if passing through Athens" experience. The bikers and other tourists you see eating here in the summer and during the Autumn months underscores this. If you don't like bikers (shame on you) or tourists (you xenophobe you), trust me (why should you??); no other establishment in town has this cache. The beer selections are... More

Worker-owned Casa Nueva/Cantina is The Place in Athens for meet and greet. Good beer, local ingredients, Mexican-ish food, regular live music. The bar is jammed for happy hour on Fridays, and you may have to wait for a table at peak hours any time. Not a fine dining restaurant experience, but a great place to hang out with friends for... I love this place. I love that when you get the bill it says that they pay their wait staff a living wage and any tips will be donated to charity. If I remember correctly, everyone who works there is part owner. That makes for a whole different feel with the staff. The food is not going to be like... More

Not only is Casa dirty, but so is their staff. Obviously personal hygiene is not a priority when working in this restaurant, it seems as though the staff is encouraged to not present themselves in a proper manner. The way that they treat the customers is absolutely disgusting. I have never been treated so horribly in my life, especially not... More

This business is a scam run by liberal socialists. Don't waste your time there. We waited two hours only to be asked to leave because we wanted to add a chair to the end of our booth. We asked for a table for 5, they seated us at a booth for four. There was a table that left after we ordered... More

For starters, I was here during Parent Weekend at OU, so that's why it was tough to get a seat. We tried Friday night, and the wait was over 90 minutes, so we left. The next day we went for lunch at 11:30. The restaurant side had a 30-min wait, but the bar side had immediate seating. However, by noon,... More

Our family has eaten here several times and have enjoyed many different dishes here. The happy hour is a great value and we enjoy sitting in the bar before going into the restaurant. Many times there has been a long wait so that tells you how fantastic the food is here! If you visit Athens (such a cute quaint college... More

I loved the Puerco Pibil enchiladas, however the waiter said they could not make them anymore because it would be two expensive. However, the web menu still lists the Puerco Pibil as a filling for enchiladas? : (

My favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. When I go for a weekend visit, I always stop at Casa Nueva for breakfast and dinner. Without fail, their margaritas are delicious and carry away all of my stress with just a few sips. The only think I don't like is the wait. It is a very popular restaurant.
