Yummy

My daughter wanted some ice cream before heading home. We found easy street parking and it was a quick walk to Whit's. There were a lot of choices.

This is a regular stop when I go to Athens. The red-eye coffee is wonderful. Whit's is a comfortable, easygoing place in Uptown, right across the street from campus. I'm sure the custard is great -- but somehow I've never had it!

My husband and I have been going to Whit's since the business first began in Granville. The stores are all over Ohio now. We love the Whit's in Athens. The neat thing about the Whit's in Athens is that you can eat a yummy confection while sitting at a counter at a window that looks out onto Court Street. That... More

Very creamy, delicious homemade custard. They serve vanilla, chocolate and a flavor of the day. They had a caramel brownie when we were there. They also make sundaes and other concoctions. There were food items on the menu too. Good place to stop for a quick snack.

Be careful, serves you stale and cold coffee with a smile. Though ice creams are good. I felt annoyed but no one really cared. Pretends to be busy even when there are very few customers around during summer months.

Yummy unique bakery items along with frozen custard & coffee. Something to satisfy everyone. Many options for toppings as well as flavors.

Great stop for a special dessert after dinner or just for a treat. Lots of different flavors, (although only 2 or 3 available as soft serve daily). Smooth and creamy just like real custard should be. Lots of other treats, coffee bar and a nice sit-down area. Also creative specials. A must stop!

I love Whitty's custard! My favorite is the buckeye blast whitser (their version of a blizzard)! It's vanilla custard smothered with chocolate and peanut butter, not to mention peanut butter cups. Awesome to get a whitser and stroll around uptown Athens.

We had heard about frozen custard and decided to make a little trip to Athens Ohio to try it. WOW - delicious. Definitely worth the trip. I got "turtle" but ended up eating most of the vanilla custard by its self. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the college kids walk by.

I got a special and it was good but not the best I have ever had. The toppings were only on top and not throughout the bowl which was disappointing. Good portion and a cool atmosphere.
