Even though they were renovating the interior, there was plenty of hot dog memorabilia in the display cases, including at least 3 hot dog phones! This is a festive, funky and fun hole-in-the-wall with delicious, all-beef hot dogs, you name the topping, also excellent fries and cole slaw. Also a vegetarian dog option and a nice selection of sodas.

My brother told me about O'Betty's hot dogs and since we were in Athens, my hubby, son, and I thought we'd give it a try. SO glad we did! The guy at the counter greeted us with a friendly smile and info on the place. The burlesque deco may be a bit racy for younger ones, but the all-beef hot... More

I found myself in Athens and had recently been disappointed by one of the places I love to go there. As a result, I was looking for somewhere else to eat, and O'Betty's seemed to be a good place to try. After all, I am always in the mood for a hot dog! It is basically a hole-in-the-wall near Ohio... I was meeting up with some friends and they suggested O'Betty's. It didn't seem like my kind of place, but after hearing them rant and rave I thought I'd take their word on it. Boy am I glad I did! I had two gypsies and fries and let me tell ya, it's something I'll dream about. Good goin', O'Betty's!

Excellent all beef hotdogs, great (and sometimes wacky) topping combinations and a rock-n-roll atmosphere, Just try it.

I go to O'Betty"s pretty frequently. Their hot dogs are top notch. There is great variety of toppings and add ons, they have a wide variety of sauces and extras. I love the Ruby- basically a Ruben sandwich with diced tomatoes instead of corned beef. Sometimes I add bacon- yum! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, even when they... More

These are worth a try. The dogs are actually good quality and the fixin's are varied, many are unusual, and most are identifiable geographically (just ask and you will learn where the type of dog originates). The seating is limited and is couched in the memorabilia from the burlesque era. Many scantily dressed babes are everywhere on walls and tables.... More

I stopped at this place on my way through Ohio since it was advertized as a hot dog museum. While the restaurant had much hot dog memorabilia, it should not be viewed as a museum. That being said, the hot dog I had was delicious. It was the Dixie hot dog. It only cost $3.25 which was really reasonable given... More

O'Betty's has great hot dogs and veggie dogs. The beef hot dogs are high quality dogs with a nice snap to them. The fries? Oh so delicious. Now Athenians don't have to wait for the county fair to get fresh cut fries. The atmosphere is quirky and endearing. You are dining in a little hot dog museum. It's really a... More
