We had fried perch. It was the best perch we've had. It tasted very fresh. The restaurant is very homey and comfortable.

If you want good food, decent service and reasonable prices then this is the place. However, if you're looking for a scenic view of the lake, outdoor dining or modern decor, then look some place else. I had the perch lunch and it was very good. My sister had the clams and she raved about them. Dining here is like... More

We heard lots of good things about the fish here, so we couldn't wait to try the place! Thankfully we knew about the crazy hours and came for dinner. There was a line of people waiting to be seated. I've read quite a few people complaining about the service, including the people in that line, but we didn't have to... More

ok, so a man told me about this place, said is was great, I looked it up on Trip advisor and noticed remarks made by confused, he should have read the home page for the dinner and the sign on the front door said the same thing-- open Tues thru Sat at 11:30 to 2:30 for LUNCH and then open... More

we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon but we're disappointed to find them closed. They are only open 5pm-10pm. Was kind of misleading as they have a "lunch" menu but aren't open for lunch.

Service was good. Food delicious! 7 pieces of perch with 2 side orders for only $17. Lots of choices, local beer, homemade desserts. If you don't finish the bottle of wine...you can take it with you! I recommend this seafood restaurant.

On the recommendation of a local, we had dinner at Hil Mak's. Good thing we got here early! By the time we left about 7:00, there were about 4 groups waiting for tables! I had delicious tuna that came out a little rare, but they were very nice about putting it back on the grill a bit. My husband had... More

Picked this restaurant after checking on tripadvisor for restaurants in Ashtabula. If you are looking for fancy this is not the place. If you are looking for good food at reasonable prices you will come out very satisfied. Three of my friends had fish for lunch. Two had Lake Erie Perch and one had Catfish and I had the crab... We were exited to try a new (to us) seafood restaurant. There are so few of them in our area. We drove 45 miles to try it. The experience was anything but exiting. The fried oysters were frozen and slimy. My wife's Maryland Crab Cakes were breading with little crab and the twice baked potatoes were not in the skin.... More

An odd building with one dining room. A great selection of seafood on a chalkboard plus a full menu to choose from. Nice inexpensive drinkable wine to go with the fish. I had Mahi, grilled and not overcooked. It was great, except I didn't need the large amount of butter it was cooked in. Good service although 2 servers for... More
