Great Seafood for a price

Went for a special birthday treat with my family. Had haddock and scallops with a lobster bisque. The meal was delicious, but priced at $26 a plate. Kind of steep for what I am used to paying for but it's a great place for very special occasions. Best seafood in the area

We ate at Hil Mak's on a busy Saturday evening when there were many people in town for a sailing race. Although the place was packed, they squeezed us in. The hostess (who I suspect was the owner) was chatty and quite friendly. There were plenty of people working to keep us in water, drinks, and a clear table. I... More

Our first visit was good, service was very attentive, interior needs updating... the food is good but for the prices I expected more out of our meal

I read about this restaurant here on trip advisor. I went very early to get a table and a parking spot. I was seated immediately. The food was good. I liked my house salad with the add-ons of bacon and croutons. The perch was good, but, not excellent. The baked potato wasn't awful, but the center was hard. I ordered... More

Wednesday eve about 7:30 pm and probably about 7 tables open. We stood at the counter 10 or 12 minutes before we were seated. The woman directed us to our seats and went about her way busily doing this and that. Drink orders were taken and it was sometime before they arrived. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and... More

We went for supper and got there just as they opened at 5 pm, so we didn't have to wait. We split the Captain's Platter, which was a variety of fish, all fried. There was not much on the menu that was not fried, but they fry very well! The potato salad was very good, also. We got a piece... More

The fish market is behind the restaurant (drive around the corner to W 5th St) and has a wonderful selection of fresh fish. My wife and I particularly love the Lake Erie (Yellow) Perch. The friendly folks in the fish market have a lightly breaded perch which they will fry for you. Be sure to add some fresh cole slaw... More

It was really good! The waitress was very friendly! Don't miss the house salad with the mango vinegrette dressing! Broiled would be a great option instead of fried?

Wanted seafood and went on a recommendation. A lot of the entrees are fried and it was somewhat difficult finding something not fried to eat. We were served fairly promptly and our friendly server was great with suggestions. Prices are very reasonable. The dining room is decorated in a nautical theme.

Pleasantly surprised with this delightful spot. I knew it was going to be an experience when we walked in and saw a table of clowns. (Clowning for a hospice..nice). Anyway, I read on a review about the coleslaw being delicious....and boy they weren't kidding. Enjoyed scrod and some tasty hot and fresh rolls. $10 for a fabulous fresh meal. Very... More
