The mother of all free samples

Wow, can't believe we had never stopped here. Picturesque barn buildings on a little pond. The tastings start as soon as you walk in the door and continue throughout. Great selection of specialty cheese, sauces, dips, jellies. Mostly locally produced. If they only had wine.... Take a lot of money because the temptations are overwhelming!

Grandpas cheese barn opened a new location near canton and that is the one I went to. The cheese flavors here are incredible! They have some of the best flavors I have ever tasted. I'm a huge cheese fan. They also have amazing jerky and sauces. They service was amazing and super friendly! We met grandpas son and he was... More

It's always a great time stopping here! I drive through the area several times a year and this is a must stop. You can sample so many things and get snacks like trail mix, cheese, sausage, popcorn and even lunch and dinner!

I think I have been to Grandpa's Cheese Barn twice and I have to admit that I didn't buy anything either time I visited. I think after I went through and tried all of the samples, that I couldn't make up my mind (and I was probably full). Everything was very good, well not everything because there were some cheeses... Very bad building. Not safe. Fire trap. Steep stairs. No exit lights or signs. Treads short. No exit enclosure.

It was time for a bathroom break on our travels up 71N. We were amused by the concept of Grandpa's Cheese Barn and decide to stop there for a funny check-in on Facebook. The joke was on us as we entered the building. An amazingly friendly staff, clean restrooms, and great road snacks to fill the car. We sampled all... More

I have visited Grandpa's Cheese Barn twice. The first time was in June 2014 on a family vacation, and again two weeks ago. This is a place/attraction I will definitely go back to many more times. From the large white barns with the red roofs, easy access to the interstate, friendly staff and lots of free samples, this is definitely... More

We never travel along 71 without stopping for some cheese. This place is a gem. However, prepare to deal with a crowd. I assure you it's worth it. One change that I noticed - they used to offer a little cafe that was full service with waitresses. It is now a quick service (order and oick up yourself) arrangement. Also,... More

What's not to love about this place. The folks are always friendly, service is always great even when it's packed full of people. You get to sample some amazing cheeses, spread, pickles and more. They have the best darn potato soup around. A bowl of that with a piece of cornbread yum. When your done there cross the parking lot to... More
