No stinky cheese here

Stopped here after seeing the huge billboards for it and we were not disappointed. The place was very crowded so it took a bit of maneuvering to get around to all the samples. Stopped for a break during a long drive. The place was crowded on a Sunday afternoon and most purchased something after enjoying lots a free samples. Even if you don't like cheese, there serve ice cream and some light fare. There is also a chocolate barn. If you want to rest they have some seating both indoors and outside. They... More

What a fun--and delicious--place!! We stopped here on our way through the state for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Yes, some of it is "hokey" but the food is delicious. They have a limited menu of sandwiches at the deli-type counter, but those come with plenty of options. Most of the place is a store and they sell all sorts... More

Stopped here on my way home from Columbus, well worth the stop! Great selection of bread/muffin mixes, ice cream, candies and of course cheese! If your travels take you through Ashland I highly recommend stopping here, you won't regret it

As advertised, it is the promised land of cheese--dozens of varieties available to sample and purchase. Fresh baked goods, candy, and especially good ice cream made on-site. Local craft items a knickknacks a-plenty will please the shopper.

There are billboards all over the highway for this place which rests off major highway at a major rest stop. We literally got there slightly after 6PM and it was closed already. As a tourist this was baffling. You advertise yourself as a tourist trap for miles and miles and miles and you close at 6PM....In the summer. Pretty pathetic... More

Found this gem by chance as I prefer local places over chains. You don't know what to expect walking into a barn with a graphic of a giant smiling mouse on the front , but once inside you will not be disappointed. It's the mother of all free sample stations. You ever wondered what blueberry mustard pretzel dip tastes like... More

Wow, can't believe we had never stopped here. Picturesque barn buildings on a little pond. The tastings start as soon as you walk in the door and continue throughout. Great selection of specialty cheese, sauces, dips, jellies. Mostly locally produced. If they only had wine.... Take a lot of money because the temptations are overwhelming!

Grandpas cheese barn opened a new location near canton and that is the one I went to. The cheese flavors here are incredible! They have some of the best flavors I have ever tasted. I'm a huge cheese fan. They also have amazing jerky and sauces. They service was amazing and super friendly! We met grandpas son and he was... More

It's always a great time stopping here! I drive through the area several times a year and this is a must stop. You can sample so many things and get snacks like trail mix, cheese, sausage, popcorn and even lunch and dinner!
