Reliable good food at a fair price

Papa Joe's has been around for years while other places come and go. There is a good reason for the longevity. No fads, no gimmicks, just a good menu selection, good service and fair pricing. One tip, take advantage of the wine shop just beyond the kitchen. If you need help the clerks will guide... read more

PJ's needs updating! Old atmosphere, old menu, old style service, even old sauce. With such a high rating, I would think that it was transformed from 25 years ago, but no luck. People here are do starved for good food that this is "settled" for. Too bad for all you NE Ohioans. PJ- update Judy!

We had a private wine dinner in the wine room On Saturday night. They have a large temperature Controlled room under glass with an unreal selection All at Ohio retail. The food and service was perfect

This is a place we gather as a family. This evening, there were 18 of us there to celebrate Christmas. I was disappointed to learn that prime rib is not served on Sundays, but the rack of lamb I had in its place was very good. My husband, kids, and I ordered: - rack of lamb (good--but expensive for the... More

We booked for our wedding rehearsal dinner at Papa Joe's for 12/4. The staff was super friendly and attentive during our visit. The food was excellent! I had the wedding soup which was delish and everyone enjoyed the penne pasta with sausage and meat balls. The bread was so wonderful I could have ate an entire loaf myself! We ordered... More

Although Papa Joe's hasn't served almond-crusted grouper for a while now, it still haunts me to this day. It was my favorite dish here and I miss it. To the owners, would you please consider bringing it back? As for the rest of the food, I had a wonderful entree, a warm goat cheese mesculin salad that was to die... More

I have been coming to Papa Joe's for probably 20 years. I don't remember ever having bad food or service. The place is not flashy, or the new hot spot in town, but if you want good food & service, you are guaranteed to get it here. I suggest eating in the bar area, it has a nice, intimate feel... More

My family decided not to cook for Thanksgiving this year (due to home renovations) so we made reservations at Papa Joe's / Iacomini's. We sat near the fire place which was very nice. They had a special menu for Thanksgiving plus a limited regular menu; nice touch! Our table had the Spring Lamb, Prime Rib, and Chicken Parmesan. We also... More

This was a take out order from their prepared food deli. A pan of meat lasagna, bar-b-que chicken wings, pork shanks, roasted red potatoes, acorn squash and fried eggplant. Everything was delicious!! If getting the lasagna I would recommend the meat lasagna over the cheese lasagne. They also have spinach lasagne but we have not tried that yet. Their eggplant... More

The food has changed. Quality not up to par for the price. Don't know what has happened. Service was rushed. Ok for happy hour but no longer a "special night out" location. Seems to be concerned on wine parings with food and not the food itself. Most likely will not return.
